I work best with folks are looking to gain new tools to use outside of our session and who are willing to apply these practices to their daily life. I focus on body based (somatic) skill building so you can tune in with yourself and tend to your needs in the moment. I have a wealth of experience in addiction, trauma and eating disorders as well as depression, anxiety or feeling a lack of direction. I have specialized training in supporting women and families in the post partum period as well working with intergenerational trauma. I am value authenticity and warmth in my communication, so at times I may say the thing that is hard to hear, but it is from a place of deep care. I look forward to connecting if this sounds like it may be a fit for you on your healing journey.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed — by anxiety, school, grief, trauma, or just trying to hold it together — I want you to know you don’t have to navigate it all alone. Whether you’re a teen, a parent, or someone trying to support a loved one, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and care. I’m a social worker with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals and families through some of life’s most difficult moments. My path has taken me through schools, nonprofit organizations, and community-based programs, where I’ve worked with people facing a wide range of challenges. Most recently, I’ve been providing therapy and social-emotional support to high school students with IEPs—helping them work through anxiety, school refusal, complex trauma, and the everyday pressures of growing up. I have also worked with their parents to plan and implement optimal care. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Northridge in 2017. During that time, I had the opportunity to develop an animal-assisted therapy program at a juvenile detention center, which really deepened my belief in creative, holistic approaches to healing. My background also includes working closely with survivors of domestic violence and supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families. My approach is trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and client-centered. I’ll meet you exactly where you are. I believe healing happens in safe, supportive relationships, and I strive to create that kind of space in our work together. Whether you’re looking for practical tools, emotional support, or simply someone who gets it, I’m here to help you move toward healing and lasting growth. Please reach out if you would like to schedule a free, 15-minute phone consultation to see if I am the right fit for what you need.

Hi there! The population I typically see are individuals who would like to overcome disturbing events in their life that may be causing them depression, anxiety or low self-esteem to name a few. To treat this, I use a technique called EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR uses bilateral stimulation via tapping chest/arms/knees or eye movements while processing past disturbing events. I make sure to follow your pace and that you feel safe enough to take this step. If you do not wish to do EMDR, I can offer you a safe space to talk about any issues you may have. I have been treating clients since 2014. My private practice is established in Oxnard, CA and I serve clients through tele-health and in-office. Safety allows for exploration. Come on, let's explore together. I offer a free 15 min. phone consultation to see if I would be a good fit for you. Hablo Español.

As a clinical psychologist, I understand that seeking therapy can be a challenging and vulnerable experience. This makes it all the more important to me to create a warm and welcoming environment where you feel comfortable and understood. My approach is compassionate and understanding, and I am here to provide guidance and support as you navigate the challenges you're facing and work towards positive changes in your life and relationships. I received my Master's and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from California Lutheran University. I completed a doctoral internship in clinical health psychology at Veterans Affairs Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center, an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited training site. I furthered my specialization in trauma-informed care with a postdoctoral residency at Veterans Affairs Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center. I have training and experience implementing evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy (IBCT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). I am a certified provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma. I have worked with couples, individuals, and groups in community, VA, and private practice settings. My research has focused on helping survivors of human trafficking and complex trauma. I truly believe in the power of therapy, and I am here to support and encourage you every step of the way. From a young age, I've always loved and been curious about people. I've always felt connected to and interested in others and their experiences. It is a calling for me. After having both positive and negative experiences with therapists in high school, I was confident that this is what I wanted to do - what I was meant to do! I will actively listen to what they're sharing and ask clarifying questions as needed. I will be fully present with them in session, with the intention of understanding as much as possible their emotional experience, inner thoughts, etc. I may summarize and/or reflect back what I heard and ask if it feels accurate for them or if there are things I missed, misunderstood, etc. And lastly, I would simply ask them, "what makes you feel heard and understood? Is there anything that makes you feel misunderstood? How might I be able to tell if you're feeling misunderstood (outside of being told as much)? I see the therapy as a collaborative process, one where I walk alongside the client, not in front or above them. I may not have all the answers, but I am committed to helping in any way that I can. Building trust and a strong therapeutic alliance takes time, but I am patient. I will not rush the process or force you to share something you're not comfortable sharing (now or ever). Trust is build over time and the process will look different for each person, so it is important to consider individual differences, past experiences, interests, preferences, etc. when building the foundational trust and rapport. Lastly, it is imperative to me that I do what I say I will do, keep any promises I make, and if I make a mistake, I will apologize and do whatever I can to rectify it and facilitate repair.
