I specialize in sex therapy, which means that I enjoy working with individuals and couples (or people in poly relationships) who may be struggling with any sex-related issues. The types of issues that people tend to see me for include sexual dysfunctions (like problems with orgasm, erection, or sexual pain), intimate relationship concerns, sexual orientation or gender identity, and sexual trauma. I also see folks who are dealing with other issues, such as anxiety or depression. Some of the people I work with have a very specific goal for treatment, while others need more ongoing treatment for deeper, more lifelong concerns. A lot of people struggle with some aspect of their sexuality, but they may find it difficult to talk about their problems, fears, or concerns with anyone. I am very open to hearing whatever is going on in your life and I'm not afraid to talk about sex. As a sex therapist, I know a lot about sex and sexuality and I can use this knowledge to help! It can be really difficult reaching out for the first time, so it's great that you're already looking for professional support with whatever is bothering you in your life. Please reach out to me if you think that we might be a good fit in working together - I am here to hep whenever you're ready!
Hello, I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional who was born and raised in Los Angeles, C.A. and is a daughter of a Salvadoran immigrant mother. I am passionate about working with the BIPOC and Latinx community in therapy and helping them overcome various mental health challenges such as perinatal mental health awareness, breaking generational trauma patterns, relationships, self-care, boundaries and the struggles of being a first gen.
As a skilled psychotherapist, my goal is to help you lead the life that you desire through psychotherapy. I pair my training with evidence-based approaches such as EMDR for trauma and use techniques to determine where changes can be made to help you find relief and fulfillment in your life. My practice consists of individuals, couples and families with a variety of issues including (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Through a strengths-based lens, my clients learn to improve coping skills, work through issues, as well as develop insight, understanding, and the confidence to improve the journey in their lives
My approach centers on creating a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where we can explore your concerns and goals together. I understand the unique pressures that come with balancing school, work, and self-care and work to empower you with strategies for mental and emotional wellness. My specialty is working with both mono-lingual and bi-lingual Spanish/English Speaking individuals navigating working with clients in the Latino/BIPOC communities, students struggling with academic stress or cultural identity, and first-generation students and children of immigrants navigating cultural expectations and identity development.
I believe that we have within us, the power to create the life we desire. We possess inner strengths and skills that can help us overcome challenges and live a fulfilled life. However, accessing this power can be an overwhelming task that may require support. Allow me to be an unbiased, compassionate and caring partner in your journey. I help individuals and couples explore their thoughts and emotions, reframe distorted beliefs, replace unhealthy patterns and unblock past traumas. I use elements of CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, Parts Work, Brainspotting, Prepare/Enrich and other modalities to help you achieve your goals. I have over 10 years of experience working with various populations, in various settings, like working with college students at CAPS, working with young professionals, current/former foster youth, formerly incarcerated individuals, couples and other adults. I help clients unlock their true potential and work through issues of low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, trauma, difficult life transitions, relationship issues and more. Ready? Let the healing begin! In addition to my private practice, I work with Octave Behavioral Health. At Octave, I am in-network with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, and Health Net / MHN commercial insurance plans. Hi! I'm Jill! I'm a Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with young adults and teens facing challenges including cancer and chronic illnesses, anxiety, stress management, life transitions and adjustments to college or adulthood, relationship issues, grief and loss. Hi, I’m Melissa, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in trauma-focused therapy. I believe healing begins when we feel truly seen, heard, and supported. At The Reflection Room, I offer a calm, non-judgmental space where you can move through difficult memories at your own pace. I support individuals healing from childhood and relationship trauma, PTSD and complex trauma, anxiety, shame, and patterns rooted in the past. My approach is gentle, grounding, and centered on helping you understand your story.
I believe that we all have the capacity to heal. Circumstances, isolation, trauma, stress, and life challenges can all blur this inner knowing from view. Through a holistic lens that recognizes the importance of the mind-body-soul connection, I can assist you in uncovering and working through patterns, thoughts, and experiences that are no longer serving you while re-awakening joy, connection, curiosity, and ease. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship as a catalyst for reflection, change, and growth. It is my honor to hold space for healing and self-discovery to unfold. My style is warm, compassionate, attuned, and a little irreverent at times. As a queer, mixed, woman, I understand that therapy is a political act. The personal, social, cultural, and political forces that contribute to and constrain your well-being are all of concern in the therapy room. Originally from the East Coast, I earned my master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University. Before going into private practice, I worked in school and community mental health settings where I collaborated with clients from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds navigating depression, anxiety, self-harm, and substance use. I am trained in EMDR, Relational Psychodynamic Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and certified as a 200-hour certified yoga teacher. As someone who has sat on the therapy couch myself, I understand the vulnerability and courage it takes to reach out. Schedule a free phone consultation if you'd like to connect and determine if we are the right fit.

College can be an overwhelming time with academic pressure and navigating challenging personal and social situations. You don’t have to stay stuck in patterns or situations that aren’t working. If anxiety, depression, focus challenges, trauma, queer identity questions, or feeling disconnected are making college life harder, therapy can offer support in understanding what’s going on and finding more sustainable ways to feel calmer, clearer, and more able to manage daily life and relationships. In our work together, we’ll gently explore the patterns that keep you feeling stuck and build awareness and skills that create more choice and flexibility in how you respond to stress, emotions, and relationships. We’ll pay attention not only to thoughts and feelings, but also to your body and nervous system, helping you feel more grounded and aligned with what matters most to you. Therapy with me is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and respect for your unique story. You won’t be judged or rushed, and we’ll move at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and responsive to your needs. You can expect a warm, respectful relationship; space to explore both present challenges and past experiences; and practical support for feeling safer in your body and more capable in daily life.
