I work best with students seeking to understand the deeper sources of their issues. Many students experience anxiety and depression especially when first entering college. This can be very difficult and disruptive personally, socially and academically. Often there are feelings of deep sadness, uncertainty, fear, loneliness, shame and anger. There is a way through this difficult time and I would be very interested to work it through with you.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 12 years of experience. I provide an atmosphere of trust and comfort where clients feel at ease. My style of therapy is engaging, warm and goal-oriented. Others have described me as authentic, genuine, non-judgmental and empathic. I work with adolescents and adults who are struggling with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, school/work related challenges, family conflict, relationship issues, life transition issues and parenting difficulties. I believe there is no “one size fits all” form of treatment. I work collaboratively with my clients to help them find the necessary tools to grow, develop, and achieve their goals. I am skilled in a variety of interventions including the evidenced based approaches of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I draw from these approaches, depending on my client’s goals and what I deem will be most effective. I received my Masters in Clinical Counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I practiced and trained in Chicago for 9 years before moving to Indiana. Prior to starting my private practice, I worked in various settings including psychiatric hospitals, partial hospitalization programming, intensive outpatient programming, within a group practice and a community mental health center.

I work best with students who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or trying to make sense of a lot of emotions at once. You might be navigating big transitions, relationship stress, academic pressure, or feeling unsure about who you are or what comes next. Sometimes everything looks “fine” on the outside, but internally it feels heavy or hard to manage. The students I work with are often thoughtful and self-aware, but may feel stuck, overthinking, or emotionally drained. They’re looking for a space where they can slow down, understand what they’re feeling, and learn how to manage stress in a way that actually works for them. If you’re open to exploring your experiences, building emotional awareness, and finding more balance and clarity, we would likely be a good fit.

Morgan is a compassionate and skilled therapist with multiple years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. Before becoming a therapist, she spent 2–3 years as a social worker, providing support and advocacy for diverse communities. She currently offers individual therapy to clients age 13-35. Morgan tailors each session to meet the unique needs of her clients, integrating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and other somatic-informed techniques to support healing from anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress. She specializes in working with teens, young adults, the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals facing major life transitions. With a deep understanding of how emotions manifest in the body, Morgan helps clients develop skills to manage distress, regulate emotions, and process past experiences. Whether working through trauma responses or coping with life’s uncertainties, she provides a supportive space for clients to explore, heal, and grow. Morgan believes that anyone is able to heal when they have the proper space with support, understanding, and empowerment. She works to create a therapy atmosphere where anyone can be comfortable and fully focus on personal needs without outside distractions. I see individuals working through transitional issues (university, relational, stage of life), common mental health issues (anxiety, depression, ADHD), and trauma (adverse childhood events, sexual/psychological/physical abuse, etc). Individuals I work with often are seeking therapy to feel more like themselves, relieve symptoms of mental health, and enjoy their day-to-day lives more. I find we are often a good fit when looking at therapy as an opportunity to connect, process, & grow. Hello! My name is Rachael Trimbur and I am here with you on your treatment journey however that may look. I take a very trauma-informed and strengths-based approach. I am trained in EMDR and have been using this approach for two years. I am a licensed clinical addictions counselor and a licensed clinical social worker with more than 10 years of experience working in the dual diagnosis field. I began my career working with substance use disorders and have a lot of experience in this area. I am also a qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and complete substance abuse evaluations. My experience includes working for community mental health centers, doing crisis work, working in an employee assisted treatment program, and program development for a substance use and medication-assisted treatment facility. I am always looking to expand my knowledge and stay up to date on evidenced-based treatment approaches. I understand that one size does not fit all and pull from various modalities to help those I work with meet their goals. The most important thing I have learned over the years is to learn from those I work with. I take a very person-centered approach. As Stephen Covey wrote, “Seek first to understand, then to be understood.”
I treat obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias, trauma, anxiety, and perfectionism. I draw upon a unique breadth of life experience in helping students to chart their own paths forward. Previous roles: Management Consultant, Head of School, and Teacher. I hold an MSW program from The Ohio State University, MPA from Harvard University, and BA in Psychology from Northwestern University.
I believe that you are the expert on your own story. Creating a safe, warm, and affirming space for clients to come as they are without judgment is of utmost importance to me as a therapist. I want you to feel that you are known, seen, and heard – by entering your story with a sense of curiosity and understanding. I enjoy working with clients who have specific goals that they would like to accomplish in therapy – but if you’ve never experienced this before or don’t know where to begin, that’s okay too. We’ll work together to find your expertise, implement techniques you can take outside of our sessions, and start to fulfill your dreams. As someone who has been on the other side of the counseling room, I know firsthand how imperative it is to connect and vibe with your counselor. If I’m not a good fit for you, I’ll refer you to another therapist who might be. I provide both in-person and Telehealth sessions. My out-of-pocket fee is $125. I am willing to slide my fee to $75 a session in order to meet the needs at hand. I graduated in August 2021 with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Indiana Wesleyan University. My practice is informed by a blend of Attachment Theory, Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I’m developing clinical expertise in writing letters for gender-affirming surgery, sexual and gender identity issues, couples therapy, and a variety of mental illnesses. I’m passionate about empowering people to become who they truly are so that they can achieve the goals and dreams they have for themselves. I also enjoy finding the best taco places around, dancing, traveling the world, and spending quality time with friends. I’d love to spend time with you and hear your story.
Here’s a quick bit of information about my education, and areas of focus. I graduated from University of Louisville with Masters in Couple’s and Family Therapy, as well as Social Work. The majority of my training is in family systems therapy. In short, that means I believe all things function as a system and are interconnected. My approach to therapy is person centered, informal, and conversational. I believe it’s important to look at the whole picture, instead of solely placing the weight of the problem on one person. I also enjoy looking at Mind- Body- Spirit connection, which in my opinion tends to promote overall well-being. My focuses areas are: daily stressors, Depression, Anxiety, Life Adjustments, Relational concerns, etc. Some of the techniques I pull from frequently are: CBT,DBT, Distress Dis-tolerance( Mindfulness), IFS, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused, and motivational interviewing. Therapy is not a one size fit all. It’s important that the time you spend in session is designed for you. My work with you is tailored to you. My goal in session is to collaborate with you on your desired plan. I see myself as an assistant/ collaborator to helping you turn over the pieces in your life that need your attention. Therapy is the space and time where you are given the opportunity to be who you are. It is the space for you to be accepted and validate in a safe environment.
