Most of my clients are women struggling with depression, anxiety, grief or loss, life transitions, relationship issues, and adjustment to change. Many people come to therapy seeking support, understanding, and tools to manage stress in their lives. I want you to know that I welcome you and your process and I am so glad you have arrived here! I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and adopt a strengths-based perspective to addressing the issue at hand to help you feel supported, listened to, validated and cared for. We will work together to help resolve your symptoms in order to gain more balance in your life, improve your mood, and enhance your resiliency.
I work with clients to manage how their mental well-being impacts their work. Mental health challenges can affect focus, confidence, and performance, and many of my clients experience anxiety, depression, trauma, perfectionism, or ADHD. I also work with students and professionals who are seeking direction in their careers or navigating a transition. Together, we use evidence-based therapy (including CBT and EMDR) and practical career guidance to align your career goals with your personal well-being.
I provide therapy to adults and have experience treating a variety of issues, including: anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, grief, caring for a mentally or physically ill family member, parenting issues, fertility issues, desire for increased self-understanding,career decisions/development, and insomnia My therapeutic style integrates approaches from several schools of thought. I help my patients understand how their past and unconscious experiences shape who they are and I also help them develop skills for coping with life problems. This integrative style helps patients to effectively link their past, present, and future. I approach each client with a wide angle view–considering all the factors that contribute to a client’s presenting concerns. For those interested in traditional psychotherapy, I draw from 20+ years of experience using a range of therapeutic interventions (psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness focused) to offer individual and parent support services. In recent years I have been expanding my expertise and services to include other holistic modalities, specifically biofield tuning, which has allowed options for using sound and energy focused work to address emotional issues. For interested clients, I weave together the benefits of psychotherapy with biofield tuning to create a unique healing experience.
Hi! I'm Victoria. I'm an EMDR, Somatic, and Narrative Therapist who specializes in supporting young adults who have been impacted by childhood, relational, medical trauma and phobias. I'm passionate about empowering survivors of complex trauma to break generational cycles, learn what their minds and bodies need to feel safe, and finally get out of survival mode.
I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist and I draw from my 10+ years of experience in College Mental Health to provide care to students preparing for and managing the mental health challenges of college. I strongly believe in evaluating and treating the whole person and in meeting you where you are with a goal of helping you find the path to your best possible self. I have a particular interest in anxiety related disorders and utilize a holistic approach to managing anxiety and helping students optimize wellness. I incorporate skills from CBT, ACT, and Mindfulness into my therapy practice. I utilize medication management if and when indicated to optimize treatment. Due to my limited office hours, I am not equipped to treat conditions that could require urgent and immediate care and thus if you are struggling with chronic or treatment-resistant resistant mood disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, addictions, severe eating disorders, or chronic suicidality, I recommend you seek care through a health system or provider that offers more services suited to best meet your needs.

Do you spend so much time caring for other people’s needs that your own get lost in the process? Does it feel like everything will fall apart if you slow down? Being the go-to person can cost you a lot of anxiety, sleepless nights, and/or panic. Long hours, high stress, and the constant demands of school, family, and responsibilities leaves little room to focus on how you actually feel physically and emotionally, leading to exhaustion, irritability, and relationship issues. With over 20 years of experience as a therapist specializing in anxiety, burnout, and relationships, we’ll work together to create a new way forward, with proven strategies you can implement daily to complete the stress response cycle, practice self compassion, and fully recognize your self-worth as separate from your accomplishments and/or other's opinions. Unless you are an old soul, choices surrounding identity, self worth and acceptance, relationships/finding connection, and career choice are often painful and confusing. Even in the best of circumstances and family support, we are left with well meaning advice and our own limited self-understanding to guide choices that will affect the next season of life. I have over a decade of experience in residential and college counseling settings helping clients to explore their past to understand the motivations and traumas that led then to where they are and what if anything they want to change going forward. Clinically, I work with clients seeking to treat their depression, anxiety, relationship/career issues, and other areas of distress. I use a client centered, humanist/existential style to explore current distress while integrating behavioral interventions (TF-CBT, DBT) and classic insight oriented exploration. I offer a safe space to look at oneself gently. I believe true spiritual/personal growth is demonstrated in learning how to treat ourselves the way we treat our friends and those we love. If you're looking for a space to grow that part of yourself or to begin treatment for a long ignored pain/injury, please reach out for a free 15 minute consultation. I wish you all the best. Katie Duggan, MS - Individual Therapist As a dedicated mental health clinician with a focus on children and young adults, I am passionate about helping individuals navigate the intricate interplay between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
