Are you seeking to understand yourself better? Are you looking to make sense of your relationship dynamics? Do you wish things were better, but you don't know how to get there? You CAN feel empowered by an expanding of your understanding, gathering insight, and educating the choices you make in how you decide to live your life. I work with couples, and adults to help make sense of obstacles, understand how relationship histories effect life today, and become more comfortable with themselves. This is done in an atmosphere where you are accepted for who you are. We can discuss your goals. Many people feel uncomfortable considering therapy as an option for themselves. It can be difficult asking for help, believing that asking for help means we are inadequate in some way. In a do-it-yourself culture, reaching out to others can cause us to feel like we are less than, but trying to meet our own needs is actually a strength. My clients often report that they have gained more insight into their lives, that they feel more at home within themselves and more capable of handling life's difficulties as they inevitably arise. Couples leave my office feeling like they understand themselves and their partner more clearly, and report greater relationship satisfaction.
I specialize in working with couples, families, and individuals of diverse genders, sexualities, and relationships including queer, trans and nonbinary, BDSM and kinky, and nonmonogamous/poly folks. Hi there! I'm Heather, a proud Nurse Practitioner. I have been in practice as a prescriber since 2023, and worked in the mental health field in various settings for more than a decade prior as an RN. I work across the lifespan and with a variety of conditions. (Please note that at this time I am not prescribing controlled substances.) I believe in shared decision making and a person-centered approach to care; we're a team! I have a kind but direct approach to discussions and am solution-focused. I believe that medications are a tool, not a fix, so we will talk about a variety of interventions to support your wellness. You can expect that I will ask about your goals for care, and life, and that we will work together to meet those goals. I will sometimes assign "homework" to continue interventions outside of sessions in addition to any medication changes we may decide to make.
I am a LICSW with over fifteen years of experience where I collaborate with clients to discover a resiliency within themselves. My most rewarding experiences have been with young adults who may be just beginning or those returning to college and managing the challenges that arise. I work with individuals who may experience a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, adjusting to life transitions and those impacted by trauma and systems of oppression. I bring warmth, compassion and sometimes humor to our conversations and enjoy working with individuals who are interested in understanding more about themselves and how they move through the world.
Phoenix Rising Centers breaks barriers in mental health care for BIPOC, QTPoC, and LGBTQIA2S+ communities. Through trauma-informed, anti-racist, and culturally rooted practices, we empower healing, growth, and resilience while confronting systemic inequities.
Life is a journey filled with transitions, some anticipated, others unexpected. At ReAlign Wellness Group, we understand that navigating these changes can be challenging. Whether you're transitioning into college, exploring aspects of your identity such as gender, race, or age, managing anxiety or depression, coping with loss, or considering or maintaining sobriety, we're here to support you. Our therapists use evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing and other tools that support real progress. Most importantly, we believe that healing happens in relationship with a therapist who honors your voice, values, and lived experience. We offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you find the right therapist for your needs. Sessions are available weekdays, with daytime and limited evening availability. We provide telehealth sessions and accept several major insurance plans along with offering private pay options. If you're moving through a time of change or ready to make one, we’re here to help.

I also enjoy working with those who previously had poor experiences with therapy, first time therapy clients, young adults, and those who feel “different.”

In my work I am dedicated to supporting clients who are facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, and mood regulation. I see therapy as an opportunity to identify goals and problem-solve the roadblocks that have stalled obtaining them. I believe that treatment is a partnership between client and therapist. Whether it’s identifying negative thinking patterns with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), or incorporating mindfulness, radical acceptance, and distress tolerance with dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT); the supports I offer are based on your needs and goals.

I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), and I’m passionate about helping those with late-diagnosed or suspected Autism/ADHD who want to understand how AuDHD impacts them in areas personally and professionally. Most of my patients are in their 20s and 30s, and part of the LGBTQIA+ community who struggle with anxiety, stress, overwhelm, and burnout around their high-pressure jobs/career/industry (e.g., academia, healthcare, STEM). I help them develop coping skills, set boundaries, and learn how to navigate the world as a neurodivergent person. I use a neuroaffirming approach, I have a direct, honest, and blunt style, and mainly utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Internal Family Systems to help manage stressors around job/career and as a neurodivergent person. Solid experience also with working with those with grief who lost a parent at a young age.
Please email me to schedule a consultation appointment. I am a licensed mental health counselor in MA and RI. My approach to therapy is unique, in that I can help you achieve answers faster to what has been blocking you, build the life you desire, and redefine yourself using a holistic approach. We will do this together by finding root causes to your symptoms using a comprehensive assessment questionnaire, attachment theory, and evidence-based mind-body approaches; that include meditation and somatic practices. I help my clients transform their lives, reach their goals, and achieve lasting results by providing high quality care. My intent is to address the challenges you are struggling with in connection to your symptoms and help bring awareness on how these symptoms are connected to limiting beliefs, subconscious programming, and/or trauma; that created a life that no longer aligns with who you are today and where you want to be. I value treating the whole-person. As we walk through this journey together, my hope for you, is to find fulfillment within yourself, healthier relationships, healing, and post-traumatic growth. I am accepting new clients at this time and have helped hundreds of people achieve the life they seek throughout sixteen years of work experience in the mental health profession. <script src="https://thrivingcampus.com/verified.js?pid=34863"></script>
