Welcome! I am a licensed individual therapist who works with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, low self-esteem, and difficult life-transitions. My clients are typically looking for a path to cope with their present concerns through developing and strengthening skills and self-understanding to aid them in living more comfortable, fulfilling, and meaningful lives. I use an eclectic approach to engage in a client-centered relationship formed through compassion, empathy, and validation. Mental health is a challenging landscape, yet with the right support I believe the process can be rewarding too. My commitment is to provide a non-judgmental, safe space to help people guide themselves toward a place of empowerment and personal growth. I specialize in humanistic practice and know that each person possesses their own unique strengths and abilities to build upon in helping them evolve and improve their quality of life. Change is hard, plain and simple, and that includes starting a new therapeutic relationship and taking action in addressing your needs. If you are ready to take that first step, I would love to collaborate with you on your journey. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, or to set up a free consultation including a face-to-face video chat.
In my practice, I work with a diverse range of clients, each bringing unique stories, strengths, and challenges. Trauma can surface in many forms such as anxiety, self-doubt, or difficulty feeling safe in relationships or within oneself. My work focuses on creating a space rooted in safety, empowerment, and emotional insight, where you can begin to reconnect with yourself. My holistic, trauma-informed, and individualized approach draws from modalities including DBT, IFS, and CBT. Together, we will reframe unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen emotion regulation, and cultivate healthier coping skills. Through a strength-based and solution-focused lens, I help clients nurture the parts of themselves that need healing, foster self-compassion, and build a more positive sense of self and overall well-being. No matter where you are on your journey, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I bring warmth, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping you build resilience, deepen self-connection, and move toward thriving.

Maybe work has been super crazy lately and it feels like too much? Are you transitioning into a new life stage and it’s feeling like kind of a lot? Have you lost an important person to you? Whatever it is that has you seeking out therapy, you should be proud of yourself for taking this first step and I’d love to help! As someone who has been in therapy herself and has experienced the struggles of managing mental health concerns, I feel very strongly about making the therapeutic space safe and approachable. I’ve been working in the field for six years and have experience with all sorts of people and their unique struggles. Ranging from anxiety and depression, to trauma and grief, my focus has always been on helping my clients gain insight and find a path forward. I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the assessment and treatment of anxiety, panic, phobias, OCD, and related disorders in college students and young adults. I also work with clients looking to effectively navigate and cope with current life stressors (e.g., work challenges, interpersonal relationships, transitions). I use evidenced-based techniques in my work with clients, and primarily from a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) perspective. By emphasizing the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors clients will gain greater insight into their concerns and learn techniques for managing their anxiety and other life stressors. To target the behavioral aspects of anxiety, I will frequently incorporate exposure and response prevention (ERP) into my work to help clients to engage in exposures both during sessions and in real-world settings. I use a collaborative, personalized, and warm approach, working with clients to better understand their anxieties or challenges and encouraging them to become their own therapists over time while achieving their goals. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Bowdoin College, research assistantship at Boston University at the Family and Development Treatment Lab, doctoral studies at Boston University where I trained at their Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD), clinical internship at the VA Boston Healthcare System, and postdoctoral training at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. I then was a staff Psychologist at the McLean Anxiety Mastery Program (MAMP), an intensive outpatient program at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Most recently, I was a staff Psychologist and Assistant Director at Emerson College’s Counseling and Psychological Services.

Do you ever find it difficult to stand on solid ground while the world is in constant motion around you and no matter what you do, it never feels like enough? We know life’s obstacles are unlikely to go away all together, but what if you were able to navigate them from a place of curiosity and self-compassion? I offer a relaxed, trauma-informed and non-judgemental space to collaboratively expand on the strengths you already possess and shift the patterns that no longer serve you. Together we can unlock your natural potential for healing and growth, and step into your authentic self with confidence and ease. As an EMDR and dance/movement therapist, my approach is rooted in the healing power of embodiment, mindfulness, creativity and a trusted therapeutic relationship. By increasing awareness of our thoughts and physical sensations in relation to our inner and outer world, we can more readily access ways of feeling grounded and empowered in our lives. If you are interested in taking the next step toward wellbeing or to learn more about my approach, please reach out via email for an initial consultation session.
Inevitably, life presents difficulties, and can be challenging for many different reasons. Sometimes the things that bring people to therapy are very specific: perhaps a major life transition has become overwhelming, or certain patterns within a relationship are starting to take a toll. Pressures in some particular setting, whether it is at school, at work, or at home, may be feeling too difficult to navigate alone. Other times, people come to therapy a little less certain, feeling confused and unsure about where their life is headed, wanting something more. It’s not always easy to answer the question, “What brings you here?” People tend to doubt their inner strengths, and don’t quite realize how many resources they in fact possess. I have found that, though conversation with a trusted person, people can more easily identify and then build on those strengths. In my work with children, we often talk about expanding their “toolbox,” so that they have the skills to better manage overwhelming emotions and navigate complicated social situations. With teenagers and young adults, we often find ourselves talking about questions of identity development - the process of learning about who we are, how we got there, and what we want for ourselves moving forward. I see growth and development as a lifetime process, and, in my work with adults, we address all these issues in increasingly varied and complex ways, while also working together to navigate complex challenges presented by a world that can be arbitrary and unfair. My past experiences, doing individual and family therapy with people of all ages, of diverse backgrounds, and difficult, sometimes traumatic histories and life circumstances, have engendered within me a core belief that with the right support and collaboration, it is possible to make meaningful and long-lasting changes.
It can be hard to know when to call a therapist. Have you found yourself thinking the below thoughts? -There is something wrong with me -I don't understand the way I am feeling -No one understands me -This isn't supposed to be the way my college experience is -I just can't handle these feelings of sadness/stress/anxiety If so, it sounds like you could benefit from talking to a therapist. Life is hard and therapy can be an effective tool to help navigate life's difficulties. As your therapist, I will sit with you and listen as you share your struggles and we will make sense of things. Together, we can figure out how you are unintentionally "getting in your own way" and also recognize the ways you are helping yourself thrive (but perhaps hadn't even realized it!). I'll teach you about your emotions, the mind-body connection and the relationship between thoughts-feelings-behaviors. This information will help you learn new and better ways to help yourself when you are feeling overwhelmed with your emotions and life challenges. Sounds like this could be helpful? Send me an email, we can schedule a 15 min phone call where I can answer your questions and we can get started.
Everyone experiences distressing or overwhelming challenges at different points in life. Many people struggle to manage these inevitable difficulties, get stuck and then subsequently feel defined by their emotional pain. This can negatively impact relationships, ambitions, work and self-worth. I believe in people’s inherent right to live meaningful and joyful lives and in their ability to choose how to respond to life’s challenges. I support my clients through their courageous process of self-exploration and self-compassion. My therapeutic approach involves treating people as a whole: mind, body & spirit. This allows people to develop a deeper understanding of themselves, and with the support of an authentic and collaborative therapeutic relationship, my clients are able to make the changes they want. My areas of specialty include trauma, addictions, depression and anxiety disorders. I am EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained. EMDR is recognized as a highly effective trauma treatment and allows people to heal from emotional pain that has stemmed from distressing life experiences. “Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional” H.M.
