Welcome! In my practice, I enjoy helping young adults who feel anxious, stressed, and burnt out. I have extensive experience working with people struggling with eating disorders/disordered eating and body image, academic stress, perfectionism, and those who are constantly battling the voice in their head that says they’re “not good enough." Through my warm and personable approach, I’ll help you understand your emotions and develop new coping skills to face life’s obstacles. I have worked in eating disorder treatment centers in Boston at both the inpatient and outpatient levels of care and practice from a Health At Every Size (HAES) approach. In sessions, I utilize components of CBT, DBT, and Internal Family Systems therapy to aid clients in identifying and responding to difficult emotions or thought patterns. My hope is that our sessions are a comfortable and safe space for you to grow and feel supported. Whether you're seeking therapy to better understand your emotions, process a life change, or improve your relationship with food/body, I'll work collaboratively with you to identify and address your goals. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi there--I'm a board certified psychiatrist in Newton, MA who offers weekly therapy +/- medications when clinically indicated. I'm warm, personable, and collaborative. My goal is to work towards a place where you feel more satisfaction, meaning, and contentment in your life. I am happy to meet in person, over video, or a hybrid. Please reach out if you're interested in working together!
Maybe it’s hard to name exactly what’s wrong. You may be functioning on the outside while feeling exhausted inside, unsure how to share any of this with the people and systems around you. I share and want to honor these experiences of moving between cultures and languages, carrying expectations, and navigating BIPOC and LGBTQ+ identities. Together, I will work with you to co-create a space where you feel heard and seen, with room to better understand who you are and move toward what you want. My hope is to gently empower you with insights and momentum that extend into your life beyond therapy. As a queer Asian therapist with experience as an international student, I bring understanding of navigating identity, belonging, and multiple worlds into my work. My approach is trauma-informed, relational-cultural, and humanistic, with space for creative exploration of your experiences and relationships. I also integrate CBT and somatic tools when helpful. You don’t have to carry everything alone. If you’re looking for a fellow traveler who can hold your full story, sit with life challenges, and stay alongside you through uncertainty and change, I’m here to walk with you.

In my work with clients I provide information, encouragement, and support to help pave the way for meaningful change. I am a psychotherapist with 10+ years of experience providing individual therapy for adults and adolescents. I have training in most major therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, SFBT, trauma-informed treatment, etc.) and my clinical focus is on in-depth psychoanalytic therapy. People come to work with me when there is a problem—a symptom, a conflict, a traumatic experience—that interferes with their satisfaction in life. Common issues include anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and difficulty with love and sexuality. Psychoanalytic work aims at addressing the real causes of these problems, and can result in new ways of relating to yourself. Therapy begins with an invitation to speak freely. It is a unique opportunity to hear what our struggles are trying to say. The challenge of therapy is that there are no ready-made answers, but I find that with the right therapeutic environment, everyone can figure out what to do with their obstacles on their path. I look forward to speaking with you about working together. Feel free to get in touch by email or schedule a consultation on my helloalma.com profile. I am currently accepting new patients for telehealth and in-person sessions at my office in Brookline, and can provide services in both English and Mandarin. 我會使用中文進行心理治療, 歡迎與我聯繫!
