I do bill as an out of network provider for patients with PPO plans. I am hoping to in the future start taking Blue Cross Blue Shield, though this may be several months from now. Services & rates: • 80-minute Initial consultation appointment: $400 • 50-minute Goal-oriented psychotherapy appointment: $250 • 30-minute Psychopharmacology with supportive psychotherapy follow up appointment: $175 The psychotherapy that I practice is 10-12 week problem focused psychotherapy that uses skills from CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic principles with the goal of helping clients make intentional and measurable changes in their lives. My practice focuses on helping individuals with acute mild to moderate mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and those with life stressors. Please let me know if you are interested in the practice. Once I hear from you, the next step is for you to fill out a pre-screen questionnaire. Please note that filling out this questionnaire does not guarantee an appointment. This is an initial way to ensure my practice is a good fit for your needs.

As an Attachment based EMDR Certified Therapist I work well with high achieving young adults who feel unsatisfied in their relationships and struggle with health challenges.
I divide my time between my private practice and Harvard University’s Counseling Center. I particularly enjoy working with older adolescents and adults who are experiencing difficult and challenging transitions in their lives. My style is direct, interactive, supportive and compassionate. I have found that some people seek counseling for short term solutions, while others are seeking a longer, deeper, transformative experience. Some goals I have helped my patients achieve include: overcoming inhibitions about relationships or career, becoming better self-advocates, managing stressful life transitions, exercising more control over choices and actions, and mourning the loss of a loved one/significant relationship. I often use CBT, DBT, and ERP to help clients maximize functioning.
With a warm, down-to-earth, supportive, and engaged style, I offer treatment for a wide range of issues such as: Depression Anxiety OCD Relationship difficulties Life transitions Grief and loss Academic and career concerns Creative blocks As an integrative therapist, my approach is customized to what works best for you. While I draw from a wide variety of treatment approaches, principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), humanistic therapy, and psychodynamic therapy will frequently inform the work we do together. We will always prioritize your needs over adherence to any specific treatment approach or theory.
I work with teens, college students, and young adults hoping to better manage life's difficulties and troubles with emotion regulation, unhelpful thoughts, and problematic relationships. Ultimately, I believe that people in treatment want to change and feel more fulfilled at school or work, in relationships, and with their sense of personal growth. Psychodynamic psychotherapy emphasizes that we will work on these issues together within a safe and supportive relationship. We can collaborate on your goals as we explore new perspectives, new meanings, and new ways of thinking about and coping with your overwhelming life stress. As a psychiatrist, I also prescribe medication when appropriate. I invite you to reach out and see if we would be a good fit for starting this work.
Cambridge Eating Disorder Center (CEDC) provides comprehensive eating disorder treatment (residential, partial hospitalization program, intensive outpatient program and outpatient) in a community setting. Central to the therapy process is connecting with someone with whom you can openly explore your past and present; thoughts, feelings, and wishes. As a therapist I am committed to helping you understand the important experiences and patterns that have influenced your life and begin to find openings for new insights and greater meaning. This can allow for personal growth, more fulfilling relationships, and improved coping with difficulties. My style is collaborative, supportive and interactive. My approach involves both facilitating personal exploration and helping you find new strategies for managing difficulty. People who come to see me are often struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, eating/body image concerns, or struggling with transitions in young adulthood
For people of all ages, difficulties in life may result from a lost connection with one’s internal experience. Psychotherapy offers the opportunity to attend closely to one’s thoughts and feelings in a safe, supportive environment. In child therapy, play is the primary mode of communication. Through play, children explore their internal world, rehearse for life, process past events, practice creativity, and learn to moderate themselves. As children begin to feel understood and understand themselves, their internal experience can become their guide to being in the world. In talk therapy with adolescents and adults, I offer a collaborative, exploratory space where together we will work to understand your personal experience and the roots of your distress. This process can lead to a deeper connection with oneself and to others. I have advanced training in psychodynamic psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults. I work with individuals struggling with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity issues, attentional problems, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
I am an experienced psychotherapist (LICSW) and Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP) working with individuals, couples and groups. I hold a PhD in biochemistry, which informs my work in psychotherapy by integrating current research in neurobiology into my treatment approach. I believe in the resilience of every human being and work to capitalize on the best in people I work with. I specialize in attachment trauma, loss, relationship issues, challenging life transitions and the negative coping styles that often accompany them. I am trained in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), an emotionally focused therapy heavily informed by neurobiology and how we heal relationally as social beings. Alongside of understanding you through your relationships and life experiences, we will highlight new experiences and positive change that will help you reach your goals. For more about AEDP go to www.AEDPInstitute.org. My broader training consists of proactive cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness techniques, stress reduction strategies, and relational and communication tools. My goal in working with you is to actively move you toward your goals. I run relationship groups for people who struggle with relationship issues. Please see my website for further information. My practice is LGBTQ welcoming and multiculturally informed.
