Working with me means gaining practical coping skills and tools you can start using right away. I rely on my background in psychology to implement cognitive and behavioral changes. I use scientifically supported methods like CBT, DBT, exposure, and mindfulness skills to create real, lasting changes. Our sessions will go beyond exploration and reflection — therapy with me is not 'just talking.' It feels great to vent, but it feels even better to have a path forward. I will gently confront and challenge you when I notice you might be holding yourself back. We all have a tendency to lean into old patterns and unproductive coping skills, especially when it’s all you know. I’m here to hold you accountable and help you grow in a supportive, respectful, and nonjudgmental way.
Exhausted by your loud inner critic? Overwhelmed by your neverending to-do list? Or maybe you're a slave to your grades? Despite looking like you have your sh!t together, internally you feel like a scattered fraud cosplaying as a human. Trying to be the perfect friend, perfect student, or perfect partner all at once is exhausting. There's a deeper wound that hasn't healed yet. Perhaps you dream of feeling fulfilled, calm, & confident? To say "no" and actually mean it? To stop playing small & launch that creative idea? If you want to stress less & live authentically without fear or guilt, I’d love to help you step into your power. I love working with creative women and gender expansive folks who have silenced themselves to make others comfortable. They are wanting to rediscover their voice, reclaim their power, be true to themselves while caring less about what others think about them. I’m proudly a human first, clinical psychologist second. I’m a connoisseur of many paradoxical things, from downtempo electronica to heavy metal. I love my tea dark, just like my humor. As a recovering perfectionist with ADHD, I know the struggle of imposter syndrome & the fear of “not being enough.” I can help you feel confident while giving the middle finger to perfectionism, people-pleasing, and self-doubt. I use a holistic approach & teach you skills to regulate your nervous system. I specialize in mindful hypnosis, EMDR, & IFS. I liberally use creativity & humor to create a supportive space for you to learn new skills, re-discover your strengths, & overcome life’s stressors with courage. If you’re secretly a rebel underneath all that people pleasing, perfectionism, and “good” behavior, you’re my kind of vibe. Please email me on my website to connect, voicemails are my nemesis!

I believe each person holds the insight and strength needed for growth, and my role is to be part of your team as you sort through thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we slow down, build understanding, and create meaningful change while strengthening relationships, emotional awareness, and confidence in navigating life’s challenges.

As a counselor, my professional identity is one of authenticity, curiosity, and empathy. I care deeply about helping my clients improve their lives. I believe that starts with the two of us forming a genuine connection so that I can best understand your personality, your worldview, and the problems you are facing – the world can be a tough place and we all have times when we could use someone to listen and understand us. I will repeatedly check in with you to assess your goals for therapy and make sure that we are making progress towards meeting those goals. In our sessions, I will use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you identify and reduce the types of thinking that can lead to negative emotions. I will also incorporate other techniques such as mindfulness meditation that many clients find useful. Together, we will work as a team to confront the issues that are troubling you. I received my BS in Biology from Duke University and my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. I've also been a research assistant in Princeton University's departments of social psychology and neuroscience. I try to stay up to date with current research and use only empirically validated modalities with my clients.

Do you feel you have the weight of the world on your shoulders and worry about how to handle the responsibilities in your life? Have you been feeling blue or had thoughts you are not good enough? Do you want to feel understood? Are you having trouble communicating your point of view/handling conflict? Anything you are experiencing; you do not have to discover the solutions on your own. With a fresh perspective, you will find your inner power, gain self-confidence, and know you are somebody who is enough. I have a passion to help those who desire a different perspective or want to see their lives through a different set of lenses.
Are you the person that everyone else comes to for help, but you don’t quite know how to help yourself? Do you struggle with burnout at school or work, even though it's something you love? Is your loved one in the middle of a crisis, but you're not sure how to best support them while also protecting your peace? If any of these ring true, know that you've already taken the first step to help yourself by seeking therapy. Through our work together, we will develop a comprehensive plan that allows you to move towards what you want, rather than away from what you fear. I offer individual therapy that incorporates a range of therapeutic perspectives, tailored to your needs. Our sessions might include mindfulness, breath work, or other exercises that enhance the mind-body connection. I view therapy as one tool among many that you can use to help yourself, after spending so many years of your life helping others. Whether this is your first time starting therapy, or you're returning after some time away, I am honored that you're considering me. Our work together could be for a brief time (6-8 sessions) or longer term; it just depends on what works best for you!

I have spent over 20+ years serving the mental health needs of college students. I enjoy working with undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, recognizing that each group experiences unique challenges. While I specialize in trauma and eating disorders, I am skilled in working with students who experience a wide range of mental health issues. I use a culturally-informed lens that considers how identity impacts mental health, especially for those who experience marginalization. I welcome and affirm clients across the spectrums of ethnicity, sexuality, gender, ability, spirituality, and class.

I believe that every person has the strength and ability to transform their lives by learning new ways to cope with difficulties and heal from hardship. Whether you are struggling in a relationship, making a major life transition, or experiencing new or reoccurring mental health symptoms, I will work with you to create a unique plan that meets your needs and goals. I want to help you feel more in control of your thoughts, feelings, and actions, as well as find joy in your life. I would love to walk alongside you on your journey.
I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and couples. Compassion, warmth, and objectivity are just some of the values I offer to clients I serve. My clients are accepted for who they are while receiving encouragement to become self-aware, grow and thrive within their communities. I strive to assist clients in rebuilding weakened relationships while also assisting them in their own personal restoration. I also have a passion for working with clients who identify themselves as members of LGBTQ+. System Counseling, as well as Cognitive-Behavioral and Cognitive Restructuring approaches, are blended with Motivational Interviewing techniques to form the basic theoretical foundation of my work with clients. I offer Individual, Couples, and Marriage Counseling, Christian Counseling, Life and Executive Coaching, Consultation, and Clinical supervision. I believe in your ability to find the answers to your life’s dilemmas. I see myself as a facilitator within the therapeutic relationship, providing objective guidance and support, as well as, challenging unhealthy thought processes while creating a warm, accepting, and soothing environment in which to work. Let’s redesign the life you were created to live.

Do you find yourself feeling anxious, sad, confused, angry lately? When people ask, “How are you doing right now?” can you really say you are doing “well”? We are living through an extremely difficult time, and nothing in our lives could have prepared us for 2020. And yet, we have all been asked to somehow adapt to this new normal and carry on. Deciding to start therapy is often hard to do, but I am here to help! My role is to provide support, understanding, encouragement, and empathy. Together, we will work to identify strengths needed to achieve your goals by developing coping skills and self-awareness. I specialize in treating children, adolescents, and adults struggling with issues related to past trauma, anxiety/stress, depression, family or peer relationships, low self-esteem, and life transitions. My therapeutic approach draws on several counseling theories and evidence-based treatments. My style is collaborative and compassionate, and I tailor my approach to meet the moment and place where you stand in the moment. It is my belief that the therapy session belongs to you, the client, and my job is to be there to help you in your journey of healing, self-discovery, self-awareness, and self-realized purpose in your life path.
I work with a variety of clients experiencing mental health challenges, life stressors, health and medical stress, and grief and end of life support. I can see clients via telehealth residing in NC, SC, CT, and FL. I am in network with a variety of insurance and accept private pay. If you do not see a time that works for your schedule, please contact me.
My clinical practice mainly consists of fellow queer and neurodivergent folx who struggle with complex trauma. Common concerns include self-abandonment through people pleasing, exploring gender/sexual identity, executive dysfunction, immense shame/guilt, perfectionism, identifying community supports, and processing underlying traumatic experiences. My clients often come into session looking to better understand who they are and what really works for them. Many times they feel so detached from themselves and their own bodies that it has been hard to even know what they want from life or who they are. I am EMDR trained and primarily work with clients to map out and process traumatic and other stressful experiences to improve self-understanding, self-acceptance, and self-compassion. My goal is to help people feel more connected with themselves, their needs, and find approaches that help reduce overall distress and improve relationships. I understand that therapy may be new experience for you or you may have had negative experiences with therapy in the past. Nevertheless, I strive to be mindful of and responsive to the individual needs of my clients. I am open to feedback and happy to adjust approaches as needed. Please feel free to reach out. I would love to work with you!

I offer a supportive, judgment-free space where you can slow down, talk things through, and learn to care for yourself while meeting life’s demands. Together, we can work on easing anxiety, building confidence, and finding balance that feels sustainable.
