With over 30 years of experience my practice is characterized by a collaborative approach toward healing from past trauma as well as problem solving and emotional growth.
Creating a space for someone to feel supported and heard is my first priority. The most important aspect of a therapeutic relationship is the dynamic between client and therapist. When you truly feel comfortable and understood by your therapist then that is when therapy can thrive. The goal in the work we do is to focus on assisting you in healing so that you are able to use the space and time we have to decipher what would work best for you to move forward. Therapy is a place for you to unwind, unload and have an opportunity to speak your thoughts out loud, reflect and make sense of how you would like to proceed away from stress, anxiety, anger, melancholy or behaviors that are no longer useful and yet challenging to change. I have worked in the field of HIV, substance use and mental health for over a decade. Primarily working in community health centers and non profit organizations, I have had the honor of providing mental health services to homeless men and women, adults who are actively using substances and unsure of what changes they would like to make, if any, and with homeless youth who are struggling with a severe mental illness. My graduate education and training was started and completed in the Bay Area where I also taught mindfulness meditation through a research study at UCSF. I am a Latino Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in the state of New York. I specialize in working with people, in both English and Spanish, who are struggling with Substance Use, Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Sexual Identity, Coming out, Gender Identity & Transition, HIV-related issues, Relationship issues, Grief and Loss, Sexual Difficulties, Migration issues and adapting to a new country with a sensitivity to diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds. In addition I also specialize in working with people who believe in non traditional sexual relationships and expressions. I am currently accepting new clients in the Flatiron District of New York City. If you are considering therapy or even just pondering on whether this is a right fit for you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Hello and welcome! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to fostering a safe and supportive environment where individuals can explore their challenges and discover their strengths. With a Master's degree in Social Work earned in 2018, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my practice, having worked with diverse populations and cultivated an open-minded, solution-focused approach to therapy.
So many students can feel overwhelmed… by choices, by things that need to be done, by relationships at home and at school, by worries about your own life and the broader world, by figuring out who you are… who you want to be… where you fit in… where you want to go. I want to help you grow to cope more easily with all that’s on your plate. I also specialize in supporting caregivers of all kinds. Do you have aging parents, a loved one with dementia or chronic illness, or children (perhaps with special needs) who need your care? Are you a health care worker, teacher, or volunteer? I want to help you balance caring for others with valuing and taking better care of yourself. When we work together, you are in charge; you drive the boat. I view my role as coach, pit crew, investigator, occasional guest lecturer, comic relief, gentle nudge, and trusted companion on your path. My work is all about your strengths and your vision–finding them, sorting between them, nurturing them to take you in directions you want to go. Our work is also about play: finding the courage and confidence to dream, to try, to try again, to try a different route. You can do both, staying present to enjoy as much as possible of your now while moving towards a future that makes your heart sing. All identities warmly welcome.

Finding calm and clarity when your mind won’t slow down is possible. I can guide the way. We have more influence over our thoughts than we realize. In our work, you’ll learn to approach your thinking more intentionally. As your thoughts change, you’ll start to notice changes in how you feel, the choices you make, and how you move through your life. I help clients slow things down, make sense of what’s been difficult, and address the patterns that keep them feeling stuck. This often includes working through anxiety, depression, and the impact of trauma and past experiences. I also support women navigating life transitions, helping them feel more grounded and steady through change. My approach is thoughtful and practical, combining insight with tools you can use in your day-to-day life.
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Megan. I am a therapist-in-training at SolHealth and am excited to begin working together! I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and share a bit about what you can expect as we begin sessions together. I am a first-year master’s degree student in the Mental Health Counseling program at City College of New York. I received an interdisciplinary degree in Science, Technology, and Society where I focused on Psychology, Sociology, and Cultural Studies at Farmingdale State College. I have previously interned in schools where I worked with populations experiencing anxiety and difficulties with life transitions. I also worked as an ABA therapist where I specialized in working with clients with developmental disabilities. My primary modalities of therapy are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Adlerian Therapy. My therapeutic approach incorporates: mindfulness exercises to help with stress management, reducing stress and anxiety, overcoming depression, developing self-compassion, and creating a meaningful life for yourself. I believe in exploring an individual’s past and present while empowering them in a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative space. Megan Pinzel is a therapist-in-training at Sol Health. Hi! my name is Kevin! thank you for taking a moment to view my profile! I believe that therapy provides an opportunity to talk about tough subjects without judgment, and the more we talk about them, the less stigmatized they can make us feel while opening possibilities for greater connection. I aim to aid each of my patients in discovering safety and trust within our therapeutic relationship to improve their quality of life and the lives of those around them. I have a strong desire to know the person (or people) in front of me as ‘people’ rather than a set of symptoms or diagnostic criteria. Beyond merely considering the symptoms patients are experiencing, I look at the interconnectedness of the systems that may influence what’s bringing them into therapy, including work, school, religious institutions, economic status, family, relationships, and more.
Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY with over 7 years of experience in the field. I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD. I have worked with youth and adults in my community in both clinical and academic settings, and especially enjoy working with college students and faculty. I am a proud LGBTQIA+ ally, and I am committed to anti-racism and understanding the unique struggles at the intersections of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and mental health. I use a mix of CBT, DBT, positive psychology, and mindfulness techniques. My person-centered therapeutic style focuses on acceptance and relationship building. I am a calm and empathetic listener, and do my best to be positive and upbeat when appropriate. I work well with those who are seeking change and willing to explore their diagnoses and how their symptoms are impacting their life. This way, we can collaboratively develop a treatment plan, build new skills, and evaluate your progress together. In our first session, we’ll discuss your current symptoms, concerns, and history. This will help us develop an initial plan for treatment, which we’ll collaborate on moving forward. Helping others with their mental health is my life’s passion, and I encourage you to reach out if you think we might be a good fit. I am part of the Path referral network, which means that when you reach out, my team will get back to you quickly to schedule our first session. I am committed to making therapy affordable. Through Path, I am in-network for most commercial insurances, so you're only responsible for your co-pay!
Welcome to my practice! My name is Nick and I am a licensed mental health counselor, credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselor, and board certified telemental health provider. All services are offered online only. Most of our suffering derives from within. Imagine if you talked to a loved one the way you talk to yourself, or if someone spoke to you the way you speak to yourself. It would be unacceptable and it would not be tolerated. Yet we surrender to these thoughts, repeating the same hurtful, debilitating monologue in the echo chamber of our mind. Herein lies the certainty that derives from being on your own, stuck in a position you never reasoned yourself into in the first place. As you develop an awareness of these thoughts that have so greatly affected your life, you’ll learn how to develop a new, more rational narrative based on the values and beliefs that you yourself will create. As your therapist, my job is to navigate this process as you learn to actively change your thoughts, which change your feelings and impact your actions. I am a firm believer in achieving functionality. We want life to work for us, and not against us. Being a flawed, living, breathing human being, I too struggle with this everyday, and I bring that intense desire to make things work in the therapeutic relationship. We work together to solve the ambivalence. It is understandable that when it comes to our motivation to change, we have our ups & downs. I know what it feels like to be stuck. It’s painful, and when you’re in it, you think it will never end. The good news is that it does, and the process of seeing that end can be so much better having someone that understands you by your side, every step of the way. So are you ready to get started?
