College can feel like a performance—keeping up with classes, friends, and family while hiding stress behind a smile. But you don’t have to carry that weight alone. In counseling, you can drop the mask and be yourself. I work with college students facing anxiety, self-esteem struggles, and identity questions—whether around culture, family, or relationships. My approach is warm and supportive, using CBT to ease anxious thoughts, break unhelpful patterns, and build real coping tools. Together, we’ll explore your story and create changes that feel true to you. Reach out today to schedule a consultation!
So many students can feel overwhelmed… by choices, by things that need to be done, by relationships at home and at school, by worries about your own life and the broader world, by figuring out who you are… who you want to be… where you fit in… where you want to go. I want to help you grow to cope more easily with all that’s on your plate. I also specialize in supporting caregivers of all kinds. Do you have aging parents, a loved one with dementia or chronic illness, or children (perhaps with special needs) who need your care? Are you a health care worker, teacher, or volunteer? I want to help you balance caring for others with valuing and taking better care of yourself. When we work together, you are in charge; you drive the boat. I view my role as coach, pit crew, investigator, occasional guest lecturer, comic relief, gentle nudge, and trusted companion on your path. My work is all about your strengths and your vision–finding them, sorting between them, nurturing them to take you in directions you want to go. Our work is also about play: finding the courage and confidence to dream, to try, to try again, to try a different route. You can do both, staying present to enjoy as much as possible of your now while moving towards a future that makes your heart sing. All identities warmly welcome.

Hi All! My name is Cari and not so long ago I was a college student..... or at least it feels that way. Looking back I can say I learned a lot in the classroom but more importantly I learned about myself. Mental Health is a issues that has always been swept under the rug. The most significant onset for mental health issues are 18 and onward. This places many college student in a place where they may feel isolated, alone and have no idea what is" wrong" with them. My practice not only focuses on mental health issues but also on substance use, the "hook up" culture, adjustment to college life and many more pertinent struggles young people face today . I did not just gain my experience as a therapist listening to a client on a couch. Much of my work was community based , in very high need neighborhoods in the NYC area. From working in homeless shelters, foster care, and substance use programs, the experience gained was invaluable . I offer more then just a set of listening empathetic ears but an approach to help you rationalize your thoughts and experiences .

I am passionate about working with college students 18 and older that are struggling with painful life experiences that affect their mental and physical health. I provide a safe, accepting environment, using evidence-based modalities for change, and support my clients in the process of healing and becoming the best versions of themselves. My clients are resilient- however, having to be "strong" and in survival mode all the time is exhausting, and it's okay to let your guard down with me. I aim to support my clients in not only surviving, but thriving. My clients achieve a healthier relationship with themselves, others, and the world around them.
No matter what the circumstances, stress and worry have a way of creeping into our minds and bodies. Whether it’s old wounds, unwanted patterns of behaviors, or the pressures of recent circumstances, if you need someone to truly listen— objectively and with care — you’ve come to the right place. As trained and qualified professionals at Marsh Psychotherapy, we are here in whatever format you need, offering video and phone sessions to protect your physical wellbeing, while we focus on your emotional wellbeing. Just as we would through in-person therapy sessions, our therapists will listen and engage in a productive dialogue. We will help you process your concerns in a safe and non judgmental environment.

Together we will explore these experiences, where I will provide psychoeducation and evidence based interventions to facilitate growth and relief. I am skilled in Positive Psychology, CBT, REBT, DBT, Solution- Focused therapy, Existential Psychology and other evidence based practices.
Hi, I’m Pura, and I’m here to listen without judgment, support your growth, and help you feel seen and empowered. My work is rooted in a deep belief in client-driven recovery, collaboration, and the healing power of authentic connection. Anxiety has been very present over the past few years. I specialize in working with anxiety whether it is about the ever changing world we are all experiencing or a long term personal relationship with anxiety. My therapeutic approach is based on Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) for intervention and talk therapy with a psychodynamic orientation for understanding underlying root causes and insights. I explore the underlying dynamics of the past creating interference with today. I take a direct and genuine approach in therapy with compassion. I'm passionate about collaborative work in the therapy room as an agent of change. I work with individuals to illuminate the path towards self-awareness through exploring underlying yearnings and opportunities to consciously choose actions based on meaning and values. I generally provide practical interventions to use in your daily experiences to actively work towards your goals in between sessions as well. I work with a diverse population in a collaborative approach to promote mental health. Feel free to reach out to schedule an initial appt.
