Working with me is a collaborative experience. I like to think of it as a road trip. You’re in the driver’s seat. I’m in the passenger seat, helping navigate. You tell me what you’re seeing. What feels confusing. What feels overwhelming. What feels stuck. And together, we figure out where you actually want to go. Sometimes we’ll take a left into childhood, family dynamics, and old stories that shaped you. Sometimes we’ll take a right into present-day tools, boundaries, communication skills, and routines. You’re the expert in your life, what has worked, what hasn’t and what is important to you now. I bring my psych knowledge, tools, and experience with clients. When we combine these. We can get you where you want to go. People say education is power and I agree, but information alone is useless. When I use my education, it’s not to lecture, instead it’s to empower you to challenge you to integrate it. Once you understand what’s happening in your mind and body, you’re not just reacting anymore. You’re choosing. Sometimes I’ll challenge you. Sometimes you’ll challenge me. That’s part of real collaboration. When I work with someone, I’m committed to this process with you. I’ll show up fully, adapt to who you are, and push you compassionately toward growth. You don’t have to do this alone. Let’s take this road trip together.

Sometimes words don’t fully capture our experiences or do them justice. My journey into this work began with the discovery that art, music, movement, and other forms of creative expression can communicate the parts of ourselves that language alone cannot reach. These expressions are deeply human and can become powerful pathways to insight, healing, and connection. Therapy asks for honesty, vulnerability, and commitment, but it does not have to focus only on pain. My approach balances depth and growth with humor, curiosity, and discovery. Art therapy is not about being “good” at art; it is about using creativity and reflection to gain insight, process experiences, and foster new perspectives and possibilities. Together, we will explore patterns, relationships, challenges, and goals while strengthening resilience, quieting self-critical thoughts, and developing practical tools for navigating life’s challenges. Our work creates the foundation for deeper self-understanding, greater balance, and lasting growth.

As your therapist, I am committed to helping you navigate all of those challenges life throws your way by using an approach that is centered around your needs, in a place that makes you feel safe and heard. My work is done through a strength based, person focused lens as this journey in therapy is about YOU. Many of the students I work with are used to pushing through, even when they're overwhelmed. They may be questioning their career path, struggling with perfectionism, procrastination, people pleasing, or feeling like they're falling behind while everyone else seems to have life figured out. Others are navigating ADHD, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, identity exploration, or family stress. As a college professor and psychologist, I understand the unique pressures students face and help them better understand the patterns that keep them stuck, build confidence in their decisions, and develop a stronger sense of who they are both in and outside of the classroom.
I believe who you are matters. You’re a deep feeler, a critical thinker, & someone who’s carried a lot for a long time. Perhaps you are the “black sheep”, someone who has felt unseen, unheard, or unworthy for most of your life. You’ve learned how to keep going, but lately, you’re exhausted. You’re realizing that surviving isn’t enough anymore. You might be navigating anxiety, burnout, dissociation, grief, identity transitions, or complex trauma. You may feel stuck in cycles of self-abandonment, masking, or perfectionism. You want to feel safe in your body, connected to your truth, & be free to live more fully - not just function. You’re looking for a therapist who is trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and deeply attuned to the realities of navigating systems that weren’t built for you. You want support that’s holistic, anti-oppressive, and rooted in nervous system regulation, attachment work, and deep respect for your autonomy. I work from a trauma-informed, shame-sensitive, and strengths-based lens. I draw on your values, your lived experiences, and your inner resilience to co-create a path toward healing. I help clients break out of survival mode, heal from internalized shame and systemic harm, and reconnect with a sense of safety, authenticity, and agency.
