People seek counseling / therapy for many reasons - to gain understanding and insights, make changes, process experiences, for support and encouragement, and many others. Whether you are looking for a safe place to discuss whatever is on your mind, are interested in making life changes, or just want to give therapy a try, I welcome the opportunity to meet with you and see how I may be able to help. You can count on me to be reliable, truthful, and kind. My approach to therapy recognizes the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship. I identify as queer and specialize in working with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. I am an affirming practitioner. I have over 20 years of experience working with college and graduate students in college counseling centers, and as a result I've had the privilege of working with many people from all around the world. My therapeutic approach is culturally informed and integrates a whole-person perspective along with socio-cultural/political awareness and acknowledgement of the impact of systemic barriers on functioning. I am mindful of my own areas of privilege and how I show up in spaces and may be perceived by others. I attend to how I perceive others based on my own life experiences. I'm always working to educate myself and challenge my assumptions and biases. I read, try to keep up on the news (around the world, not just in the U.S.), and try to engage in conversations with people from various backgrounds. If you would like to have a brief, introductory conversation to discuss what you are looking for and how I may be able to help, please give me a call or send an email. An initial screening consultation is free. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My goal as a therapist is to help you achieve your goals and assist you in resolving or overcoming any challenges you may be facing. I have a no nonsense, solutions focused approach to therapy- the goal is not to have you in therapy forever, but rather to tackle the problem and then go out and live your best life. Deciding to seek help can be really challenging, so congratulations on taking that step! Everyone has a unique story and deserves an individualized approach to care. Once we decide to work together, we’ll act as partners in your therapeutic journey, but keep in mind therapy requires that YOU need to put in the work! I’ll be there to listen to you, and to really challenge you. Of course I will support you along the way. In our first session you will have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. I will share my approach to therapy and how I may be able to assist you. From there, if you chose to work with me, we’ll work together in the sessions that follow to make these goals a reality for you.

I am a clinical psychologist licensed in New York. I live and work in Ithaca, where I see clients both virtually, via video conference, and in person at my home office. I work with individuals from young adult to senior. My primary approaches are dynamic and Person Centered. I am also very comfortable with more solutions focused therapies like CBT and am trained in specialty approaches including CBT-i (CBT for insomnia), Motivational Interviewing, and Prolonged Exposure. I work with individuals seeking personal growth, exploring their relationships past and present, managing life transitions, and addressing anxiety, depresssion, and insomnia. College years are stressful, and the traditional “college years” are years of intense personal change and development. It is a crucial time to have support, to examine the self, to grow into your own preferences and potential. I use Headway for billing and scheduling - please visit my website to arrange a consultation to have a conversation to help us both decide if my practice is a good fit for your needs. The prices posted for initial and follow up sessions are for cash pay - if I am in network with your insurance, it is accepted as payment in full, although you may also have a co-pay depending on your coverage. When you go to my website you will notice that I offer initial 10 minute phone consultation at no charge. These are not treatment, but are designed to give us both a chance to see if my practice is a good fit for you and your therapy needs. I look forward to speaking with you

The trajectory to adulthood is not an easy or smooth path, and can include hurdles such as stress, feeling stuck, uncertainty, anxiety, and relationship issues. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with considerable experience and expertise working with young adults. Within the safe, confidential relationship of psychotherapy, I help people identify the sources of their challenges and minimize the barriers that hold them back in life. People often come to my office struggling with such issues as anxiety, depression, eating and body image issues, family and relationship concerns, and struggles with sense of identity. At times we are all uncomfortable looking at ourselves - that's natural! I help my clients to feel comfortable looking at the uncomfortable. When we approach this process with curiosity, we can allow ourselves to grow, heal, and thrive. Often, as we connect with our thoughts and feelings in new ways, we can improve relationships and our sense of ourself. I welcome a free phone consultation to discuss any questions you may have and to explore whether working together may be a helpful experience for you.

I am a Licensed LMHC by the University of NYS, bilingual in both English and Spanish. I began my career in 1988 as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at the University of Buenos Aires with a concentration in Psychoanalysis and Psychological Testing. I later became a Psycho-dramatist dealing with Psychodynamic interventions, as well as Behavioral techniques and Counseling. I have over 30 years of experience. 2. I began working for the National Argentinean Board of Education where I created, implemented and led psycho-dramatic seminaries, helping principals and teachers at intermediate and elementary schools. I was the primary contact for families and staff to facilitate fluid communication and good education for children. 3. As a Private Practice Professional, I developed treatment plans tailored specifically to my clients. I also supervised clinical cases, coordinated care and services such as interaction with patients, family members and physicians from hospitals to facilitate adequate transferring. I later developed strong psychological skills in coaching, consulting and counseling of top executives in corporations such as Telecom Argentina, Phillip Morris Argentina. I also have had extensive experience in counseling immigrants, especially unaccompanied minors and their available family members, for potential immigration relief. Most of these individuals do not speak English and the vast majority of them are unable to understand the complexity and intricacy of U.S. immigration laws even in their native Spanish. They may not even be aware that they have pending court cases, and may not appear at a scheduled hearing, which often leads to very serious consequences 4. I currently specialize as a Bilingual Psychotherapist targeting young people and adults who suffer from disorders such as PTSD, Major Depression, Psychosis and Anxiety. I also work with individual and family counseling, helping with diagnosis and crisis intervention, and serving parents with their own dynamics within the family. 5. I serve as PRN Clinician (Clinician called as needed) for BCFS working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking minors. I specialize in therapy for young and emerging adult women with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and OCD to help them find balance and gain new perspectives on how they see the world and themselves. I challenge Perfectionists, Overthinkers, and People Pleasers to step out of their black-and-white thinking. In our work together, we’ll explore the patterns that have protected you in the past, dive deeper into your experiences, and notice the stories that your mind is telling you. We’ll work with both your mind and body, helping you tune into how your thoughts, emotions, and physical responses are connected. As an integrative therapist, I blend evidence-based practices with a human, relational approach—drawing from different modalities to meet you where you are and what you need most. My goal is to provide a balanced, trauma-informed, and holistic approach that addresses the whole person—mind, body, and emotions. If you’re ready to understand yourself more deeply, build healthier boundaries, strengthen your self-trust, and create more space for flexibility and self-compassion, feel free to reach out or schedule a free consultation through my website—I’d be honored to support you!

Are you feeling overwhelmed, sad or anxious? Have you ever felt that you couldn’t share your story with anyone because you feel that they just couldn’t possibly understand or that they would somehow judge you? We all have a story, and often we have to just push it aside just to get through our day until one day we realize that our story has taken over and is now interfering with our daily life. I will work to help you find the right tools to rewrite your story while in a calming nonjudgmental space. We will work towards empowering you to make those positive changes in your life, and together we will help you find your own courage and self-compassion to begin your journey to wellness. I often use an integrative approach which may include Neurofeedback together with traditional therapeutic approaches to provide a holistic experience. My clients typically include those who experience anxiety, depression and are recovering from trauma. As well as those issues common to college students.

I am all too familiar with how so many struggles boil down to the same deep needs: to be seen, supported, understood, or safe. I help people reclaim their energy from the runaway train of their thoughts and the demands of those they care about so they can live with more focus, calm, and control. That means learning to let go of "doing it right" in favor of doing what actually works for you. By separating your sense of worth from how much you give to others, you end your people-pleasing behaviors and work on setting healthy boundaries that protect your energy without the crushing weight of guilt that usually follows. I believe there’s no one right path or set agenda we’re supposed to follow. Sometimes, the best steps we take are the ones that don’t make sense to anyone else, but that feel undeniably true to us. That’s what I help my clients find: a way forward that’s grounded, self-directed, and shaped by who they are, not who they were told to be.

Counseling works best when the focus is on getting back to yourself. It is a space to seek guidance, introspection, and wellness all geared around your own unique strengths, interests, and needs. Counseling is not about "fixing" you, it's about exploring and connecting with your own capabilities to bring you the wellness you deserve. When I work with clients it's important to guide you down your own path of wellness and to use my skills and expertise to help you embody your own power to heal. Through narrative and mindfulness based approaches we will work together to connect to your emotions and learn from your own self what it is you need to thrive. With over a decade of experience working in the mental health field in a variety of settings, I have gathered wisdom and knowledge from a variety of frameworks, such as person centered care, cognitive behavioral therapy, and crises and stress management, to address a variety of concerns such as trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, personal identity, goal setting, sexuality, grief, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, mind-body healing and so much more.

With more than a decade of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, I support adults 18 and older as they navigate some of life's most complex and personal challenges. My areas of expertise include ADHD, complex PTSD and trauma, attachment disorders, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance use, grief and loss, and life transitions. For those navigating relational difficulties, I also offer couples counseling, family therapy, and group counseling to help strengthen the connections that matter most. At the heart of my work is the belief that healing begins within a safe, authentic, and supportive therapeutic relationship, one where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. Finding the right therapist is a deeply personal process, and I encourage you to trust yourself in choosing the path that feels like the best fit. I take a holistic and collaborative approach to care, one that is always tailored to your unique needs. Drawing from psychoanalytic, person-centered, humanistic, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives, I integrate evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, narrative therapy, somatic work, trauma-informed care, and attachment-based interventions. For those in couples or family therapy, this foundation helps strengthen communication, deepen connection, and create lasting change in your relationships. Whatever brings you here, my goal is to help you connect with your inner guidance, develop tools for growth, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. My path to becoming a therapist is a personal one. At 18, I knew something was wrong and reached out for help, scared and unsure of what to expect. What I found changed everything. My first therapist left a lasting impression on my life, and her impact planted the seed for the work I do today. That experience shaped not only my decision to become a therapist, but the kind of therapist I strive to be: someone who meets you with the care and presence that truly makes a difference. Outside of sessions, you'll often find me lost in a good book, working on a piece of writing, or hiking with my group through whatever trail is next on the list. I never pass up a chance to get to the beach, and live music holds a special place in my heart. Above all, I cherish the time I spend with my family and friends, and being a mom is one of my greatest joys.

Whether you’ve tried therapy before or this is new to you, understanding yourself and being supported through life changes and challenges builds your resilience and confidence! Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or unsure of how to move forward? With more than eight years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, I am comfortable supporting clients with a wide range of needs and diagnoses. I meet each client where they are and work collaboratively with them to build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and create realistic steps toward meaningful change. Some clients come to therapy seeking practical coping skills, while others need a safe place to process their experiences and better understand themselves. Whatever your reason may be, let's explore and work together. I specialize in working with individuals, families, and couples experiencing various mental health concerns, including anxiety, trauma and grief, depression, emotional dysregulation, mood disorders, stress, life transitions, substance abuse disorders, and serious mental illness. My approach is flexible and individualized because no single method works for everyone. Starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, especially when you are used to carrying everything on your own or have not always felt heard or understood. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where you can be honest about what you are experiencing without fear of criticism.
