Anxiety!, Stress!, pressure to conform and hide who you are can be so exhausting. Whether you are neurodivergent, autistic, queer, gender expansive, or experience multiple intersections of being marginalized, the last thing you need is to be told how to conform to systems of oppression that don’t value you. If you are longing to really be known and celebrated for who you are, let’s talk and work together so you have the nourishing environment in therapy where you can experience the healing and growth you desire to have a vibrant life.
Hi! I believe everyone is capable of healing, growth and positive change. I bring compassion, humor and authenticity to our counseling relationship. My work reflects my values and is strengths-focused, trauma-informed, anti-racist, and LGBTQIA-affirming. During our most difficult times, we develop coping strategies that serve us and keep us safe. I work with people to examine which strategies still benefit them and which they want to adjust or let go. People often enter therapy caught in shame or the belief they are somehow broken. We can work together to find skills that benefit you and build on strengths you already possess. My approach is client-centered and integrative and includes techniques from mindfulness-based awareness, CBT, Internal Family Systems, DBT, and EMDR among others. As a cancer survivor, I also bring an intimate and personal awareness of the struggles and growth that can occur through treatment and healing. My work offers a safe and welcoming space for you to explore, grow, and heal. It takes courage and vulnerability to start counseling. Please call or email me if you think I might be able to help. I wish you well on your journey.

Trinette, a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), emphasizes collaboration with her patients in treating psychiatric disorders and managing medications. She partners with them, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and supportive and talk therapy to meet their unique needs. Together, they explore CBT techniques, where Trinette guides patients to identify and reframe distorted thoughts—say, tackling anxiety-driven fears—co-creating strategies that empower them to cope. In MI, she works alongside patients, sparking their motivation to embrace treatment plans, like sticking to meds or therapy for depression, ensuring their voice drives the process. Through supportive talk therapy, Trinette and her patients jointly unpack emotions, building trust as they process challenges like trauma, reinforcing their resilience as a team. In medication management, collaboration shines: Trinette assesses symptoms and histories with patient input, designing psychopharmacological plans together. She explains options—perhaps adjusting an antipsychotic for bipolar disorder—while they monitor effects and tweak dosages as a unit, balancing efficacy and comfort. For instance, a patient with OCD might co-develop a plan blending CBT for obsessions and a serotonin reuptake inhibitor, refining it based on shared feedback. This partnership fosters ownership, as patients feel heard and respected. By merging these therapies with tailored medication, Trinette and her patients collaboratively address mind and body, paving the way for sustainable mental wellness through mutual effort and understanding.

*My office is within walking distance of the OSU - Cascades campus. I highly value working with college students as this is an exciting time in your life of growth and the ability to make your own choices that affect the trajectory of your life. Are you ready to experience change in your life? Are you struggling in your relationships with your family or in your marriage? Have you experienced challenges parenting your child or teen? Do you want to build stronger family bonds or have a more intimate relationship with your partner? Life is all about relationships and how we can best connect with those that we love. Maybe past events or patterns of behavior are contributing to the issues you are experiencing? Counseling provides an opportunity to focus on what experiences, habits, and patterns that cause you to feel "stuck" while in a safe and judgement free place. Trauma touches most everyone and affects our internal belief systems. These underlying beliefs affect how we think, feel, and act. I specialize in trauma recovery and use an attachment based approach, EMDR, family systems, and internal family systems. These interventions provide relief for trauma symptoms and assist in rebuilding a person's core self-identity. If you are ready for change, please call for your free phone consultation and let's begin.

Developmental trauma (experiences as we grow, including our family of origin) shapes how we see the world, sometimes unsafe and challenging to navigate. Our attachments are the foundations in which we trust or find conflict. Developmental trauma may manifest in the body as anxiety, stress, distress, relationship difficulties, depression and more. There is healing to be found here, to be understood and nourished. Well done on the first step in a journey toward wellness. The most important aspect of therapy is finding a person who makes you feel safe and heard. I look forward to collaborating. I have training and experience in working with trauma, family of origin/generational cycles, attachment disruptions, complicated grief and loss, sexuality, sex work and with LGBTQAI+ persons. I love working through emotions, trauma and somatic experiencing. I am Level I Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy trained. I enjoy working with and understanding folx from their perspective; I work with singles, couples, non-monogamous consensual relationships and families. I provide a safe, unassuming space in which you can find felt safety. I appreciate the eclectic person you are and would like to help you identify your own cracks, so that you can let your own light in. I work best with students dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, or all of the above. A lot of the students I see feel overwhelmed, burned out, stuck in their heads, or frustrated with focus and motivation. Some are looking for medication support, others want non-med options, and many want a mix of both. If meds haven’t worked well before, caused side effects, or just didn’t feel like the full answer, you’re not alone. My approach combines medication treatment with practical, non-med strategies to support your nervous system, focus, mood, and day-to-day life. We’ll work together to figure out what’s actually going on and create a plan that fits you—not a one-size-fits-all approach. If you want care that takes ADHD, anxiety, and depression seriously while still seeing you as a whole person, you might be a good fit here.
At different times in our lives, we experience hardships that may overwhelm us. These can sometimes be brought on by relationships, careers, family, or health. Or perhaps it is more of a persistent feeling you've grown accustomed to but wish there was a way of changing. The meaning we've made from life's past events serves as a template for how we will process each new experience in the future. My goal is to help facilitate an insight-oriented process of understanding why we feel the way we do and provide a source of strength and a healthy curiosity to lead to a better tomorrow.
My goal is for my clients to describe me as fully present, warm, trustworthy, and welcoming of their entire selves. It is important for me to bring authenticity, compassion, and directness to my therapy relationships. I will work with you to develop a holistic understanding of yourself, your identities, your relationships, and your daily contexts to best understand and resolve the concerns you bring to therapy. I strive to provide safe and affirming therapy to individuals from all backgrounds and encourage dialogue on identity in therapy. I enjoy working with a range of concerns, and I employ a range of therapeutic modalities so that I may tailor the therapy experience to each person. I have extensive experience with depression and anxiety, trauma and complex trauma, interpersonal/relational concerns, and issues specific to those with LGBTQIA+ and other marginalized identities. The importance of having a good fit with your therapist cannot be overstated. I hope the information I have provided here assists you in deciding whether to reach out to me. I look forward to the opportunity to talk with you about whether I might be the right therapist for you at this time. Please feel welcome to get in touch to schedule a free consultation!
