Therapists for college students near Portland, OR
I support adults navigating anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, grief, and life transitions. Anxiety can show up as racing thoughts, tension in the body, difficulty resting, or a persistent sense that something is wrong even when life looks fine on the outside. You do not have to manage this alone.
I can manage most all needs for psychiatric diagnoses and medication management, if indicated.
My practice is guided by the belief that every person strives to do the best they can. The individual or family system may need assistance in developing necessary skills and guidance in solving problems. Working collaboratively with clients I help them to narrate new ways of interacting with their environment. I work with several young adults / young professionals as they navigate major life transitions (college, grad school, careers, families and parenting) and the accompanying challenges (ie: depression, anxiety, ADHD, isolation, imposter syndrome, challenging relationships, perfectionism). A major part of my practice is helping clients with trauma - esp developmental trauma.
At Rose City Psychological Center, LLC we believe all people have an inherent right to the services, resources, knowledge, and opportunities that allow us to be the directors of own lives. Our therapeutic approach strives to shed light on ingrained patterns of thoughts, values, and behaviors. By making the unconscious conscious, we disrupt the cycles that keep us stuck in unhealthy or unsatisfying relationships and routines.
I work with people navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, boundary-setting, life transitions, and patterns that leave them feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves. Many of my clients are overwhelmed by stress, self-doubt, people-pleasing, or difficult past experiences that continue to impact their daily lives. Together, we explore these patterns, build on existing strengths, and create meaningful change that supports greater balance, confidence, and well-being. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual. I utilize an integrative framework that considers the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, values, and relationships. I am also an EMDRIA-approved EMDR therapist and offer EMDR when it is clinically appropriate and aligned with your goals. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and finding the right therapist is important. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where you can explore challenges openly and move toward the changes that matter most to you. If my approach sounds like a good fit, I welcome you to reach out.

With a feminist lens, I help free you up from the constraints of trauma, with a specialty in sexual trauma and alternative sexual expression. I'm savvy in polyamory and BDSM. My practice is attachment-based, trauma-informed therapy that is neurobiologically grounded. I am an EMDR-certified (EMDRIA-approved) therapist and integrate EMDR with Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Somatic Processing Therapy (SPT), and Motivational Interviewing to support healing at both cognitive and body-based levels.
