I work with clients to increase understanding of how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors relate. I work in collaboration with clients to identify their goals and to learn specific skills to improve their overall functioning and well-being. Welcome to our clinical psychotherapy group! We are a group of 7 clinicians working with young people to support mental health and healing. We specialize in adolescent and young adult populations addressing anxiety, depression, suicidal thinking, self-harm behaviors, disordered eating, substance misuse, family system challenges, stress, social anxiety and more. We are trained in CBT, DBT and Trauma treatment. We use these skills to support an active interpersonal therapeutic relationship. We want to support you to become the person you're meant to be.
I’m a psychotherapist and trauma-focused yoga teacher with an approach grounded in psychoanalytic theory and practice. While I work with a wide variety of folks, I have a soft spot for artists and young adults. Although rooted in psychoanalysis, I practice eclectically, meaning I tailor our sessions to your individualized needs while offering a warm, attentive environment in which your experiences, feelings, and questions are explored. I place a strong emphasis on building a trusting therapeutic relationship with you so that we explore patterns shaped by past relationships and experiences to make room for greater authenticity and self-understanding. I don’t see psychotherapy as a way to fix or judge, but as a way to learn to approach ourselves with curiosity, and maybe even a little humor, whether this is through talk therapy, trauma-focused yoga, or a combination of the two.

Ideal for clients who need discreet, judgment-free, practical work. This isn’t about managing symptoms. It’s about ending the war inside you. For those who want peace within and without. If you are looking for someone to hold your hand while you let the world beat you to death, look elsewhere. I'm not for you. If you're ready to walk into hell, I'm ready to walk right next to you. The first step is yours. Are you coming?
Life can feel overwhelming when you're carrying the weight of your personal identity, family expectations, or the impacts of generational trauma. You may find yourself caught between who you are and who others expect you to be, leading to feelings of stress, self-doubt, or disconnection. Many of my clients seek a space where all parts of their identity are seen and affirmed, while also working through challenges like anxiety, depression, family of origin issues, or difficult life transitions. Together, we focus on healing, resilience, and building a stronger sense of self. I provide a supportive, collaborative space grounded in trauma-informed and culturally responsive care. Drawing from relational, strengths-based, and evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, I help clients explore challenges, build resilience, and create change that feels authentic to who they are. I know it takes courage to seek support, and it's important to find someone who truly understands and respects you. My goal is to provide a safe and compassionate environment where you can feel seen, valued, and empowered to move forward in ways that feel right for you. If you're ready to begin this process, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

I'm a clinical psychologist and a trained psychoanalyst. I believe that what promotes growth and mental health is the process of putting real but hard to see aspects of your experience into words. This decreases their power and brings them more to heel for you. This is different from challenging thoughts or skill building. You as the patient should have clear evidence in therapy that you're coming to understand yourself better and more fully. Old, stuck ways of thinking should slowly give way to the ability to think more effectively about what is and what can be. Your sense of 'you' should grow wider and more secure, and your ability live and act with purpose of your choosing should slowly build.
My goal for therapy is to work towards helping my clients find the strength and resilience needed to get through what life brings to the table. I am a certified EMDR therapist, though I use multiple therapeutic approaches with each client and tailor therapy to each individual's needs. I take great pride in building a strong therapeutic relationship with the clients I see, as I believe that is the foundation of therapy! I have experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults, and families as a whole. I love watching people grow throughout the therapeutic process, whether that entails mending strained relationships, working through trauma(s), embarking on a new journey, or finding personal strength. My passion to help others is what motivates me daily. It may be nerve wracking, overwhelming, and/or slightly uncomfortable, but just know that I am here to help, however I can. It can seem like a challenge to find a good therapist, but it is absolutely worth it to push forward until you find the best fit for you. I am licensed in New York, Colorado, Nevada, Florida, and South Carolina. Please note: I am not paneled with any insurance companies in Colorado, Florida, Nevada, or South Carolina.
Welcome! Today is a really big day for you. You have made a decision to make a change in your life for the better. You are to be congratulated and supported for this. I bet it wasn't easy getting here. Making these changes can get very complicated along the way. Are you ready to take the necessary steps to be the change you are looking for? Do you want to exceed your own expectations in your life? Are you focused, humble and willing to consider the thoughtful input of others in order to achieve your goals? If your answer is "yes" to these questions - then let's begin! One thing to consider... nothing changes if nothing changes. The way we live our lives is completely based on the way we perceive it. This statement is the bedrock foundation of my counseling practice. With each area of assistance I offer, the rewards of mindfulness, empowerment and ultimately self-realization are the goals to be pursued. Everything we do in our life IS a choice. We can choose to be empowered or not.

Are you carrying the weight of being a first-generation eldest hija while trying to find your own path? Te veo. Balancing school, family expectations, and your own needs can feel overwhelming. You may feel pressure to succeed, to make your family proud, and to hold everything together, while quietly feeling stretched or disconnected from yourself. In our work together, we create space to slow down and check in with what you’re feeling and needing. Therapy becomes a place to explore who you are beyond expectations, while gently tending to the parts of you that have learned to push through or put yourself last. We move at a pace that feels steady, supporting you in building self trust and a more grounded relationship with yourself. I also provide psychological evaluations for immigration cases, conducted with objectivity, care, and cultural awareness. I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in New York, and a first-generation eldest daughter of Colombian parents.
