The Rust Wellness approach to therapy is tailoring each session to fit the needs of the client and consistently reevaluating to meet their evolving issues and concerns. We know how difficult it is to open up about mental health topics, especially with a stranger, so we strive to establish a warm and inviting atmosphere that encourages our clients to share their vulnerabilities. Trust is incredibly important in a therapist-client relationship, so we aim to create an environment that will facilitate our clients’ comfort.
I believe that each person wants to find fulfillment in life, and that through the therapeutic relationship, we can work together to achieve this goal. In today's world, there are so many pressures and obstacles that people face on a daily basis. I work to help people identify the factors that affect their lives, assist them in gaining insight into the causes of their problems, and develop real-life solutions to address problematic issues. I use techniques from various types of therapy to achieve this. I work to help people identify their strengths in order to increase resiliency and autonomy and develop growing self-respect. I specialize in treating couples, college students and young professionals, and individuals with borderline personality disorder. I have extensive training in emotionally-focused couples therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy, and I draw from these approaches to best treat each unique person and couple. Perhaps more than any other part of therapy or specific technique, I believe that my empathy, genuine care, and desire to help people are my greatest assets. I devote myself completely to my work and to the people I treat, and strive to make treatment as effective and meaningful as possible, with the continuous goal of creating progress in people's lives.

Are you finding it difficult to cope with your overthinking, negative feelings, and anxious thoughts? Do your negative feelings associate with your appearance, self-worth, or accomplishments? Do your anxious thoughts manifest in difficulty sleeping, working, or socializing? Do you feel you need a place for someone to hear you, see you, and validate your experience? Would you like to acquire coping skills for anxiety regarding your relationships, your career, or communication? Therapy can deepen your capacity for love, trust, and connection — with yourself and with others. I’ve seen it ease depression, anxiety, and shame; strengthen self-esteem; and help people become more resilient during life’s ups and downs. Most of all, it can bring forward a truer, more authentic self. Therapy is a collaborative process. You speak, and I listen closely — for what’s said and what lies beneath the surface — helping you see what may be getting in the way of a more fulfilling life. As Carl Rogers wrote: “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” I’ve found that to be true. Patients find it helpful to explore childhood, memories that bubble up, dreams, feelings, fears, wishes — whatever arises. Our aim is an understanding of your inner world that leads to meaningful action & choice. With couples, I help you listen more clearly & break entrenched patterns. Everyone longs to be seen and heard & I'll help you arrive at that place. As a therapist and writer, I’m inspired to help each patient take hold of their narrative — understanding where they’ve come from & where they’d like to go. As we get to know one another, I tailor my style to your personality and needs. Your feedback is always encouraged. Email me to schedule a consultation & see if we’re a good fit. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe, supportive, empathetic and non-judgmental space to help people explore and overcome life's challenges while feeling seen and heard. I highly value building a strong therapeutic alliance based in authenticity, understanding, and respect as a foundation to the therapeutic process. I have experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD/complex trauma, interpersonal relationship difficulties, life changes and transitions, and other life stressors. I acknowledge the courage it takes to seek help and the work it takes to make meaningful changes. I work collaboratively with clients and personalize treatment based on the needs and goals of the individual. Using an integrative approach that incorporates psychodynamic fundamentals, mindfulness, and cognitive-based interventions, we will work to gain insight, find meaning, and build practical skills and tools in a way that works for you. I believe in providing treatment that considers the whole person, their life experiences, cultural identities, beliefs, and values and I work with my clients to facilitate treatment outcomes beyond symptom reduction, towards true healing and personal growth. I welcome you to reach out if you are interested in working together.
I’m a licensed psychotherapist (LCSW) and former corporate attorney, now based in New York City. I work with students, young professionals, and emerging leaders who often feel capable and accomplished on the outside but unsettled or stuck internally. I provide depth-oriented, relational therapy, helping clients explore patterns in relationships, identity, and emotional life. My work is informed by attachment, parts-based approaches (IFS), and somatic awareness, with extensive experience supporting trauma survivors. In our work together, I aim to create a reflective, safe space where you can explore what’s really behind the surface of your experiences, without manuals, homework, or pressure. I pay close attention to the relational dynamics between us, while giving you room to wander and discover. I work with adults, couples, and emerging adults, and I also facilitate two small support groups: one for male survivors of childhood sexual abuse and one for new therapists navigating their early clinical work.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in evidence-based treatment for anxiety, OCD-related concerns, phobias, and sleep difficulties Over the past several years, I have noticed that many college students struggle academically due to undiagnosed ADHD, executive functioning challenges, and attention-related concerns that may go overlooked. In response to this need, I have added comprehensive and affordable ADHD diagnostic testing to my practice to help students better understand their difficulties, access appropriate treatment recommendations, and obtain accommodations when clinically indicated for academic settings and standardized testing. In addition to ADHD testing, I frequently work with students experiencing anxiety, obsessive thinking, perfectionism, panic, OCD symptoms, sleep disruption, and stress related to academic performance and life transitions.
My empathic approach empowers clients to lead healthier lives. As we work together, I will focus on you and your unique needs. We will collaborate to set goals that will help you move forward in your life. Starting with your existing strengths, we will then develop the tools needed to meet those goals. My therapeutic work is informed by my years of supporting people struggling with substance use, domestic violence, and anger management. I also enjoy working with immigrants and first-generation Americans as they navigate being part of two unique and sometimes conflicting cultures. Utilizing culturally informed CBT, along with DBT tools, I am passionate about helping individuals develop more meaningful relationships.
Through a blend of evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques, I provide practical tools to manage emotions, build confidence, and create lasting change. My role is guiding you in discovering your strengths, deepening self-awareness, and learning how to respond to life’s challenges with clarity and confidence.
Colibri Wellness is dedicated to providing mental justice and wellness to BIPOC individual/families and communities. We are a culturally-centered, trauma informed, anti-oppressive practice that utilizes clinical/decolonial approaches so that we as a community can reclaim and experience transformative healing.
I tend to work best with college students and young adults who look “high-functioning” on the outside but feel overwhelmed on the inside. Many of the students I see are smart, reflective, and trying hard — yet struggling with anxiety, mood swings, burnout, panic, or a constant feeling of pressure to perform or hold everything together. You might feel stuck between who you were expected to be and who you’re becoming. You may overthink conversations, feel emotionally exhausted, struggle with motivation, or feel disconnected from yourself or others. Some students I work with have experienced past stress or trauma that still shows up in their body — through anxiety, sleep issues, emotional shutdown, or feeling on edge — even if “nothing bad” seems to be happening now. In therapy, we move at your pace. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear goal right away. My approach is supportive, curious, and collaborative — focused on helping you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and develop tools that actually feel usable in real life. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, feel less alone, and build steadiness during a demanding and uncertain chapter of life. I will be getting credentialed with additional insurances and accepting private pay-please feel free to check back or reach out if you have any additional questions or concerns.
I am looking for people who are looking for change (some change takes 2). I have some insight into the college experience and am able to connect with students pursuing diverse interests: I have graduate degrees in literature, business administration, and social work. My eclectic professional and cultural background helps me build rapport and join with people from all walks of life, young and old. My bilingual upbringing and life experience allows me to practice psychotherapy in Russian with native Russian speakers.
Many of the students I work with are used to pushing through, even when they're overwhelmed. They may be questioning their career path, struggling with perfectionism, procrastination, people pleasing, or feeling like they're falling behind while everyone else seems to have life figured out. Others are navigating ADHD, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, identity exploration, or family stress. As a college professor and psychologist, I understand the unique pressures students face and help them better understand the patterns that keep them stuck, build confidence in their decisions, and develop a stronger sense of who they are both in and outside of the classroom.
I specialize in working with folks who have substance use-related issues and supporting them on the path to long-term recovery.
I believe everyone has the inner capacity to heal, which guides my work. As an Asian American clinician, I’m passionate about culturally informed care and creating a safe space that honors each client’s identity. I work with individuals navigating PTSD, complex trauma, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. Using an eclectic, mind–body approach—including somatic therapy, CBT, DBT, and solution-focused techniques—I tailor treatment to each client’s needs.
