I have over 20 years of experience in mental health and has worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, school based therapy, higher education and independent practice. I began my career working with children and families who experienced abuse, neglect and other traumas. Through this challenging work, I was extensively trained in the treatment of trauma and developed a philosophy of therapy that supports each individual where they are and focuses on their resilience and capacity to heal. In addition to trauma informed practices, I have training in the following areas: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Art and Play Therapy techniques, Mindfulness, Tele-Health Practices, Family Systems and Attachment Theory. I have experience with the following clinical concerns: stress management, depression, anxiety, mood regulation, social anxiety, relationship and family distress, attention and motivation challenges, self-esteem, perfectionism, and grief. I have a particular passion for helping individuals develop healthy boundaries and heal from toxic relationships.

I treat each client as a unique individual, ensuring you feel heard and validated as we work to uncover the roots of your challenges. Together, we’ll forge a path toward change and healing. I believe therapy is for everyone and can help you discover the happiness and peace that might be missing from your life. Outside of work, I love to travel, explore new places, and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I enjoy quality time with my family, friends, and my beloved cat and dog. Most of all, I cherish being surrounded by people who make me smile and laugh. My sessions are centered around providing clients with a warm, safe, and comfortable environment where they can confidently express themselves. I support clients who are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, and low self-esteem; helping them to build emotional resilience and achieve their goals.

I love working with women and femmes who are dealing with anxiety, mood issues, life stress, ADHD/neurospiciness, or just a general sense that things aren't going as planned. Maybe you have "gifted child syndrome" - you were the top of your class all throughout school, but now that you're in college, things are falling apart. Maybe the decades worth of masking, overfunctioning, and prioritizing others' needs above yours are finally starting to get to you. Maybe you're a STEM major and you're feeling crushed by the weight of the world's expectations. Or maybe your anxiety, depression, or other "symptoms" aren't responding to medication or traditional therapy because there is underlying trauma that needs to be addressed. Whether you're looking for a compassionate ear, a space to explore the challenges of school and identity, or a guide to help you process untouched wounds, I'm here for you. You're invited to reach out to me to set up a free 15-20 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit. I hope to hear from you soon.

Due to recent circumstances, Reset Outdoors is currently only offering phone or video chat sessions. We hope to be able to offer in-person sessions again soon. Reset Outdoors offers both a traditional session format, as well as nontraditional outdoor sessions geared towards creating a therapeutic experience in the great outdoors. By creating a supportive, nonjudgmental, and empathetic atmosphere, I help my clients to feel safe in exploring their struggles, fears, hopes, and strengths. I specialize in issues related to gender, sexuality, anxiety, depression, and trauma. For individuals pursing medical transition, I offer single-session evaluations for HRT and surgery referrals. I believe strongly in tailoring my approach to each of my clients' individual needs and therefore utilize a number of therapeutic techniques in my treatment approach. In our outdoor session format, we combine the inherent benefits of responsive listening, low-impact physical exercise, and the great outdoors. It is my belief that each individual already possesses exactly what they need to achieve healing, therefore I will do my best to support you in your efforts to uncover your own power, resilience, and sense of peace. If you’ve found me, you may have a burnt-out nervous system, or/and neurodivergent mind. You may be highly sensitive, ADHD, sick of people pleasing, grieving, spiritually uncertain, chronically ill, overwhelmed… & you want to understand the patterns that have you feeling so tired. I have been a therapist for 10+ years, learning the whole time. My clinical background includes my LPC, along with an ADHD clinical service provider certification. I strive to create a supportive, inclusive environment, as I believe therapeutic growth is enhanced by the presence of the authentic self.
Grit & Grace is more than just a name but a way of life. These words are obviously opposites but can also be interconnected and complementary to each other. In order for therapy to be successful, we need the strength to recognize what is no longer serving us, the balance of being aware of our emotions enough to manage them in a way that is gentle, honest, and wise, and we need to honor our past and present in order to move into the future with grace.
At Ebb & Flow we love helping college students navigate this exciting yet stressful time of their lives! We have flexible hours for session times and are fully virtual, eliminating barriers of travel. You have so many things to consider for your future with more independence than you’ve ever had. Have you ever felt that life can get lonely when it's so overwhelming? This is a common sentiment, and let's explore it together! My name is Annie Morris, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in working with adults facing a variety of life experiences including anxiety, depression, caring for aging parents, parenting, grief, marital/relational tension, and life transitions. I help by offering a safe and nonjudgmental environment where you can learn about yourself, process the past, and explore who you want to be for your future. I utilize a mixture of CBT, narrative therapy, somatic work, and emotions-based therapy. In your first few sessions, we will process what life looks like for you now and what you hope to work on. Life is a beautiful, brutal mess sometimes. My hope is that in working together, we can help you to feel less alone and more connected to your life and those you love. Feel free to reach out to me with questions about if you could be a good fit for my practice. I look forward to meeting you and starting this journey together!
