Hi! My name is Patricia. I am a therapist in training, trying to provide a space with compassion, dedication, and support in order to help my clients, in their own capacity, to heal and thrive. To provide a place where they can feel safe and have their voice heard. I use a couple of different modalities depending on what the client needs because every client is unique. I usually gravitate towards a client-centered approach and implement cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT). However, I will adapt and tailor my therapeutic approach depending on what the client needs and what the best fit is. I am committed to providing a safe, judgment free space and help my clients grow and get themselves into a healthier place. I work with people who are carrying a lot — stress, responsibility, trauma, and the quiet pressure to keep going even when they’re exhausted. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and rooted in helping clients feel safe, understood, and empowered in their own lives. I bring extensive experience from the child welfare system, advocacy work, and supporting caretakers who often put everyone else first. I’ve worked with a wide range of populations, including individuals from Ultra-Orthodox communities, people with developmental disabilities, and members of New York City’s largest labor union. These experiences have shaped my ability to meet people where they are, with cultural sensitivity, respect, and curiosity. Many of the people I work with are overworked, overstressed, and struggling to find balance or confidence in the midst of demanding lives. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what you’ve been through, and develop tools to feel more grounded, self-assured, and resilient. Together, we focus on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and creating space for relief, growth, and meaningful change. Whether you’re navigating trauma, burnout, or simply need a place to exhale, I aim to offer a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you don’t have to carry everything alone. <script src="https://thrivingcampus.com/verified.js?pid=45991"></script>

You know how sometimes we examine our situation and wonder how it is that we got here? There's so much going on in the world today. In examining our current state we can experience a mixture of emotions: fear, frustration, and a longing for something different. This is normal. However, sometimes these feelings can become more overwhelming than we would like, and they begin to affect us in different areas of our life such as work, family, and relationships. If you are struggling with anxiety or dealing with a major event in your life, I can help. You have choices when it comes to your career, relationships, and family. I will speak with you openly about your feelings and help you to gain new perspectives and solutions. I work closely with people facing various challenges, including how to deal with grief, a complicated relationship, family, academics, and societal problems. My approach to healing combines traditional therapies with holistic approaches, while drawing on the individual’s spiritual practices and developing new coping strategies.
I believe everyone is an artist. My therapy works with the creative souls in all of my clients, from dormant creatives to professional artists. Unfortunately, we all experience trauma of some kind during our lives. Traumatic experiences leave scars on our bodies and our minds that can't speak through words. However, we can listen to and understand our unspeakable pain through the creative arts. Art and creativity are the guides that lead us to healing and solace. Talk therapy is a good a way to get to know you, your coping mechanisms, and identify your goals. We go deeper with creative arts such as drawing and writing, as well as working with the body and mindfulness. Most importantly, you will experience the sense of being understood and seen in the mind and heart of a loving, attuned human being. It is my honor to work with you and witness your precious vulnerability. Much of my effort goes to provide a protective environment so we can work at your own pace and comfort level. Finding a therapist requires courage, and asking for help is a sign of strength. Call me for a free consultation and we'll figure it out together.
